I bought my pro for the suspension. I'm not mechnically inclined so I didn't want to mess with going after market. To me the pro is a waste of money if you are going to get rid of the suspension. Any reason you are wanting to get rid of it already?

I am not, at least not right now. That will be the last mod I make and if I ever do it. Just curious as to who has.

I always see it..once the mod bug bites you, it doesn't matter if you have a SR5 or a Pro..it's all downhill from there.. :)..truth is you can start with a SR5 and upgrade everything with top notch components and still be below Pro price...my 0.02

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
He is going to the extreme to change the color. Most paint jobs only do the outside and leave the engine bay and interior the same color.

You do realize the Bilstein TRD Pro shocks can be rebuilt right? Why replace?

The only other thing on your list that can't be had by a Limited Tundra is the seat badging and stamps in the bed.

I understand that people with deep pockets or that are very well off can careless if it's a pro or not, they are going to do what they want because they have the means to do it.

I'm not one of those people lol but I am part of the majority population that manages their money. I love modding my vehicles but when I found my pro I went in there knowing that the suspension was one of the last things I was going to touch, if ever. The suspension is the highlight of the truck, if I wanted a bigger or better lift I would have bought a sr5 for cheaper or a platinum with more anemities. I'm sure most people would agree.

I don't understand the hate. Especially on that Tacoma. So many haters. If I had the money to do $10k-20k in upgrades, I'd start with a Pro too. Even if you upgrade the suspension you can recoup a good chunk selling the old one. I don't care what upgrades you do to an SR5 it's still not going to be a PRO and it'll have a stupid sticker on the side of the bed. (I'm broke so I appreciate my sticker.) Only thing I would never do is repaint it a different color, especially the cement color.

I am partial to Inferno Pro. I love that look. Since they offered that color in SR5, I configured it. I think buying a Pro is cheaper than getting an SR5 and getting all the Pro parts.

I personally would not have bought a Pro if I was planning to change out the suspension.

If you want to change them out then go for it! It's YOUR truck and your money.
If I were to ever have a Pro and wanted to change out the suspension, I'd only upgrade and that would be King shocks to me.
