I looked up my truck on the Toyota website by entering my vin #. According to the specs, I have keyless door locks. I did not receive anything from the dealer when I purchased it. What is the procedure to get a couple fobs and what kind of $ am I looking at?

    The remotes are going to cost about $18 - $75 each depending on pre-owned ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-TOYOTA-SUV-TRUCK-VAN-keyless-entry-remote-fob-transmitter-GQ43VT20T-OEM/272685720880?fits=Year:2011|Model:Tundra|Make:Toyota&epid=654861000&hash=item3f7d55e530:g:tOIAAOSwcB5ZJffI:sc:USPSFirstClass!78669!US!-1 )

    or new ( https://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oem-parts/toyota-transmitter-89742ae011 ).

The remotes will still have to be programmed to the ECU in your vehicle to work. I believe TechStream is what the dealers use to program them. Cost for the programming varies by dealer, but typically not cheap...having a friend with bootleg TechStream is an advantage.

Have heard some Locksmiths can supply and program. May be worth a shot to call around.

Ok, thanks guys;). I'll call some of the locksmiths Monday. If that doesn't work ebay looks like the way to go.

I bought some aftermarket remotes from Amazon or ebay (can't remember which as I also bought some blank keys from the other) and programmed them myself with TechStream. Obviously the dealer can do it but you'll pay.

My niece had the same problem with her Kia Soul. We called around and found a lock Smith that got a her an oem fob.. it cost a couple hundred but it was quicker and cheaper than buying eBay with the programming still needing to be done.
    Double check where your at.
