Something tells me this kid is no "choir boy". If he is taking his parents vehicle without permission I am sure he has done much worse

Sad, but he needed to be the adult in this. Yes it was some teens throwing eggs. I'm sure he was a kid once and did stupid stuff, but let it go vs giving chase with a weapon and now ending up in jail.

I agree, but in his defense, he probably did not know that they were kids. If I drive down the road and get attacked with eggs I will have more tolerance with naughty/mischievous kids "just being kids" than I would have with low-life adults doing crap like that. At that moment though, you would not know the difference, and them being driving you would assume that they are adults or at least not 14yr old kids.
They both did stupid things though and will suffer the consequences for a long time. Sad story no matter how you look at it.

I don't think I would risk my life or those of other knowing they were adults instead of teens. I get lic plate #, veh description and description of driver if I can, and call in a criminal mischief. Not risking my life and leaving orphans for something like this. That's my personal opinion but I know everyone reacts differently.

If you're going to go to prison for 20 years, you might as well kill the others involved. Those teens will be out of prison when they turn 18.

Doubt he will get 20 yrs, maybe 5-10 - still more than the teens will see.

Not just your opinion, me thinks. One doesn't have a right to chase someone down with a gun for egging your car, even in Texas. A subtle reminder that it's hard to justify someone as an immediate threat to you when you're in a car, much more so when the other party only has eggs and is trying to flee.

I wonder if the gun-toter will go down for murder as well as a party to the crime that caused the woman's death. Charge one, charge all.

Waving and shooting a gun (according to news reports) is not an appropriate response for having an egg or eggs thrown at your vehicle. The kids ran when they saw a gun and he decided to chase so in my opinion he is just as responsible and in addition he left the scene. Hell yeah the kids were wrong and should be held accountable for being idiots and taking an innocent persons life but this guy is an idiot and should also be held partially responsible.

I understand the seriousness of the chaser’s actions, I initially thought he flashed a gun and the teens fled but in the video the captions say he participated in a high speed chase and actually fired multiple rounds endangering public safety all the same. Sad for all involved, R.I.P. the deceased.
