    Hello,

So I’m fairly new to the electronics on a car but learn quickly. Especially with stupid mistakes. Here is what happened. Please point me in the right direction.

I bought AKKON aftermarket headlights for my 2012. There is an extra harness not utilized at the center bottom. I’m not sure what it does as I can’t seem to find a diagram on it. The red and black for the halos said to splice into my sidemarkers although this would only have them on when I turn on my parking lights(not what I wanted) so I hooked the first one up that way(omitting the harness that had nowhere to be plugged in on the new light). Everything worked except the sidemarker which I tied into for the halos but the halos worked. I didn’t realize the parking brake had to be disengaged for the drl to come on so I though I would get smart on the second light and splice onto the drl so I could have this set up how I wanted. So I left the first light how it was and moved on. Once I had the second light installed (I totally screwed up and listened to some guy say drl was the violet wire) I didn’t have my turn signals on but when I went to start my truck it shut down. It won’t do anything when I turn the key. Interior lights still come on but nothing else will happen. I checked all fuses except the main because I will have to dismantle the fuse box to do so.

So I made a mistake and now am on a crash course to get my truck running for work tomorrow. Any ideas? Besides the obvious to stay in my own lane lol

    Thanks in advance.

    Michael,

I realize this is 2 years old, but I’m having the same issue. Ordered new black headlights (2012) and have no clue how to get these working. Just wondering if you ever got them working.
