I just bought Rago Fab’s Baja Designs Ditch and fog light combo from their tax sale.

I know the fog lights are direct replacements, but the ditch lights will need to be wired in.

All of my switches near the steering wheel are being used as a part of the SR5 package I bought. I was thinking I could replace my cigarette lighters with a switch for the ditch lights. Not sure if this is possible or which replacement part I should get if so.

Does anyone know the best way to wire these Baja Designs ditch lights? I’ve never done it but trying to figure out what my options are.

Sorry if this is a redundant post.

I actually found an open blank switch. It was right in front of me next to the cig lighters under the radio. I couldn't see it the first time I looked. I bought a switch and harness from cali raised and will install later this week.

does anyone have instructions on how to remove the cigarette lighter dash assembly from under the radio screen as well as how to get the harness wires up in there?
    thanks!

It's hard if it's your first time. I put my thumbs in the plugs and pull and push down at the same time. It takes some force.

You can run the wires on the driver side, there's a rubber boot where the main wiring goes through, there's a nipple you can cut off and feed it through or make your own hole

    Some stuff
it's actually easier if you pull the center console out. unscrew the shift knob. then start by popping it off from the back, under the lip of the center console lid. once you pull the whole piece out, you will have room to drop the panel. putting your thumbs in the lighter sockets is the best way to get leverage, just don't lick them first. :anonymous:

Going to work on this install Friday/Saturday. Headed to Moab Monday morning early, so I'm hoping to get these lights installed over the weekend. I just need some guidance on tools so I'm not making 20 trips to the store

So here's the products I purchased:
    - - CaliRaised LED Harness w/ relay
    - Small Ditch Light Button (OEM Style) - to be mounted in between the two cig lighters under the lcd screed / radio

I think I'll have to cut off the cali raised on/off button in order to wire it to the small ditch light OEM style button, so I'll need
    - wire cutters / strippers which I have.
    - wire heat shrink wrap **not sure what other tools I need here (lighter?)
    - do you all snake the LED Ditch light wires through the metal hood holes or do youjust zip tie them to the existing wiring...both methods discussed at 8:00 min here
-sheet metal screw to mount the relay somewhere...

    thanks!

I know you're looking to get this done soon, but have you looked into something like this? Installs into one of the many blanks we have on the SR5s. Nice clean factory-ish look

Was attempting to install my Baja's with the Cali Raised OEM style switch yesterday and couldn't get it to work. Tried all the wiring combinations and were unsuccessful. Any tips? Or pictures of wire matching? The only thing we could think of was that a pin on the Cali Raised switch was bad. We even reconnected to the Baja switch we cut and everything functioned perfectly. Seemed the pin where the green cable (power in?) was connecting was the faulty one - unless we had it all wrong. Any advice is truly greatly appreciated.

Can't seem to find any information online and the few posts we have found (Tacoma World, etc) seem to have people giving the opposite advice.
