Auto Climate Controls Question (Display)

Some time ago I added the Automatic Climate Controls to my truck. After I'd completed this mod, back in the day and up until I knocked something loose under the glove box last week, when I pressed the Defrost button, the indicator light on the button would light up (yellow) and there would be a Defrost symbol in the display of the panel and air would be directed to the base of the windshield. Now, after repairing the 'Oops' by the bull in the china shop, everything works as prior with the exception of the Defrost symbol appearing in the display when I press the dedicated Defrost button on the panel. When I crank the knob for air deflection/direction, it will appear when set to Defrost/Foot area, so it isn't as though the illumination for the symbol is not functional.

As I don't know anyone directly either who has done this mod, or even with the Auto Climate controls in their Tundra/Sequoia, I don't know what normal factory behavior of the panel is and if I still have something that I've missed in my restorative efforts. When those of you with the factory Auto Climate Control press the Defrost button, what does your panel display show?

I have a 3rd gen. and it came with auto climate control. Is it different? I could go look to see what mine does but in 99% sure the defrost symbol comes up on the display

 

I have a Limited and has the auto button. Can you take a picture of what it's doing and I will check mine.

 

I won't be outta work till late, but press the Defrost button (the yellow light will turn on) and tell me if the corresponding Defrost symbol appears on the heater display (where the temp setting numerals appear). Thank you!

@Pudge Yours will be a different panel so I'm not sure it would be quite apples-to-apples, but thanks.

For the love of peet! That's exactly what I wanted to see! Now I don't need to dig around under the glove box in my free time to try to figure out what the heck I buggered. But alas, this revelation only brings about the question of why the panel display used to show the Defrost symbol, or was I only living a lie for the past four years? Heh, I will now resolve to push the memory from my mind, many thanks for your enlightening revelation! I can now move on to deciding what to tear apart and fuck up next!
