Looking to upgrade my exhaust and thinking trd, but need to be responsible ( that sucks!!). I use my truck for camping and don’t want to draw attention in a negative way going through campgrounds. Looking for a subtle rumble that will turn heads when getting into it. Any help will be greatly appreciated

You’ll see many recommendations here, Dirty Deeds, TRD, etc. It’s a subjective topic as everyone pretty much likes what they have, or like me, have nothing else to compare to. I have been extremely happy with the sound of my TRD duals. They have a nice rumble and when you want to be heard or hear the truck, it’s a really sweet sound. Maybe I would have tried another set up, but I wanted them on the truck the day I got it and negotiated them into the deal. GOOD LUCK!

Dirty deeds 10 inch system with the resonator installed is exactly what you are looking for.

Almost any system for the Tundra is going to be quiet - until you get on it. The nature of the Tundra - they just aren't that loud at idle. So, while you are camping - just keep your foot out of it.

I have a Borla system that I love. Nice low mellow rumble, sounds AWESOME at WOT, no drone at freeway speeds.

From personal experience, the Trd is only loud when you want it to be. Love mine! Been reading good things about DD systems so definitely explore options there too. You're going to hear any aftermarket exhaust at a campsite early morning or late evening. The fact that you're even asking advice on this tells me youre not a senseless jackhole so just use your own discretion and you'll be fine no matter what exhaust you go with.

more than I can list here
    Check out this thread:

    https://www.tundratalk.net/forums/t...-8-systems-video-q-thread.html?t=547018&amp=1

Our standard systems are more aggressive than most systems offered for tundras. Yet quieter than most aftermarket systems on the highway.

And our standard systems are the only systems offered that address low end torque loss and drone St the same time.

    Call for details. 760-877-4234

    Thanks for the mentions guys!!

    Dirty deeds are awesome.

I’m running a Corsa now and I love it. Purrs until you get on it. Zero drone as well.

    Hey y'all,

I am having the same dilemma. I have a wife, 2 kids, and 3 dogs. My 2014 5.7L has survived Hurricane Harvey, but after almost 6 years I want to give my truck a new exhaust.
I have been watching all the videos for the past 4 days.

Debating between 6" vs. 8" vs . budget system vs. budget system dual [love that x-pipe] from Dirty Deeds?

    Any opinions/help please?

Honestly, I do like them all, but I want to avoid that rasp. I need to maintain conversations in the cabin due to kids and wife.

    Thanks.

    Super cheap option...
Cut the stock muffler out. Drop in a Borla muffler. Put in a turn down after the borla muffler. $250 bucks, and sounds great. Low rumble and opens up when you punch it.

I have a 2019 Tundra Pro and the TRD is nice enough.
If I give the gas a little tap it will growl.

Being an old 50 year old i like it quiet as well so it seems to fit the bill for the mid life crisis and the old man in me. That was one thing that sold me.

Been running my @dirtydeeds 10" for a week now. Had my wife in the truck and she didn't even notice until we jumped on the highway and I opened it up.

8" @dirtydeeds is what I have for almost a year, its real quiet if you drive with a light foot, but aggressive when you punch it. The only loud part to me is when you first startup your truck then quiet. Oh and i did not use the resonator. I am on the fence on getting a 6" due to its sooo quiet.

Daddypete, nice, I didn’t even see that group buy.

Well, I actually like the dual budget x -pipe side exit from dirty deeds.
I know it has drone, and it is not quiet.
It just has a good, clean aggressive sound, and it is uniquely different.

I had a corsa exhaust on a 99’ trans-am. It had the LS1 corvette engine, so I am not new to exhausts.

These opinions are great... I guess whatever decision I make then I could revert back to stock...

I actually think the 8” DD is somewhat quiet on the videos, but then again, they are videos...
