Bilstein part number help for Readylift 3/2 kit

I have a Readylift 3/2 kit and I am still on the factory shocks. I just hit 80,000 and my local shop said to replace them with the Bilstein 5100's. I would assume the fronts are the standard adjustables that everyone has and I install them on the lowest setting? The problem I am having is with the rear. I am trying to find the correct part number for the rear to accommodate the 2 inch lift. The number that I have found is 24-186971. One site says it is for up to 2 inches but most other sites say 1 inch. TIA.

 

The only Bilstein 5100 series shock available for the front of the Tundra will only adjust up to the 2.23'' front ride height setting.

In my opinion if you are looking to get rid of the 3'' front spacer, do a true coilover replacement that yields 3'' of front end lift.

Toytec Eibach 3'' coilover: Toytec Ultimate adjustable coilover: Toytec BOSS adjustable coilover: As for rear shocks the 5100 series rear shocks will only work 0-1'' of rear end safely.


I would recommend going with the Toytec BOSS rear shocks as they work 1-3'' of rear end lift to insure proper travel, ride quality, and durability overall. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yes I was looking at the Toytec rears a few weeks ago. I actually forgot about them. I haven't decided on the front yet. The spacer kit has only been installed for about four months and I am running a 285/70/18 on a +1 offset. The better ride is what I am looking at and that is why he said keep the kit and change out the shocks. If I leave the front spacer in, what shock would I use if not the 5100? He made it sound like "use the 5100 on the lowest setting".

 

5100 on lowest setting still provides some lift, a little under an inch, so with your spacer you will be over 3". Almost 4".

 

Even at the lowest clip setting it will still yield approximately .87'' over stock which could really throw the look of your truck off.. I would recommend if you are planning on keeping the spacers then to just do a factory shock replacement in the front end... Or swap out the spacer for a full coilover replacement..

Yes it could definitely throw it off if the truck is level now. I am not sure if it is level now because I haven't found a level parking area to see. If keeping the spacer, what would be a better riding shock up front over the OEM? Also, If I do coilovers, will it be at the same lift height as the current spacers?
