    ALOT!
I have used this method before with great results but there is a fine line between just enough and to much heat!

Every car does this. I used to work at a manufacturing place we assembled door panels for Subaru they would literally use crayon on alot of it. And a heat gun with a rag. It worked alot .

Yup, here too. Only I didnt rip apart anything. I actually baby the hell out of my interior but scratches found their way onto my door panels like they just appeared out of no where. The glove box and below look lovely thanks to my Wife’s pocketbook...well, suitcase she carries on a daily basis. Everytime she gets in the truck, I cringe when she puts her bag on the floor while scraping the glove box with the metal rings on the bag. I asked her once “nicely” to be careful and she looked like she wanted to smack me..LOL!!

We used to keep a Crayola, 64 count box of crayons in the shop. Match to the closest color and heat it up a little and it always worked great.

Here is a scratch on my door panel by the window. It was done when I had my windows tinted. Little hard to see. It was white before I put the shoe polish on it. I let it dry for a few minutes, the took a dry paper tower a removed the excess.

I have the same scratches everyone else does. I remove my watch before reaching down there. No way to buff them out really, just use some kind of trim restore or something to blend them in.

Be careful with the heat gun guys. It does restore color, but makes the plastic brittle if you go overboard. Only do it in moderation.

From this post it looks like a Crayola crayon and a little heat or shoe polish and a paper towel works the best.

I think I will try the shoe polish trick first since it's the least invasive.
