Torque spec?

    I’m in process of installing 6112. I read on here that 2 bolts which separates knuckle from bottom needs to be 220lb. Am I reading it right?

    So I’m guessing LCA ball
    Joint attachment is that 2 bolts you need to loosen up to install coilover right?

    Any bolt on the front end that is succumb to vibrations should have thread lock on it. You most def do not want those bottom bolts backing out on you haha.

    crap. i just finished removing all the little fake beadlock bolts from my RW wheels. That chore was a total and complete PITA, and those only had blue loctite on them.

    The service manual specifically instructs to use red loctite. Those bolts hold the weight of the truck so you want them glued in place. They'll still come off with a breaker bar in the future

    You should use blue on almost everything, red on the critical big bolts

    Will I need to heat any bolts treated with red to 500 deg. as the product specs state? Which others, besides the two LCA bolts, will be treated with red?

    I take mine on and off all the time. I have uniballs and a long travel suspension so I'm always doing maintenance that requires disconnecting them.

    A 1200ft/lbs impact won't take them off, but a regular 1/2" breaker bar will

    Damn. My pro instructions did not mention anything about Loctite. I torqued my lower control arm knuckle bolts to the proper spec and then used a paint pen to mark their position so I can tell if they back out. So far they haven’t even moved. Would you recommend that I took them back out one at a time and put Loctite on and then reinstall?

    The pro instructions disagree with the service manual.

    I would back them out and add the red loctite if it were me. Especially if you off road.

    bolt marks don't mean shit if they back off while you are driving...

    Ok just finished up removing the bolts and installing red locktite. Easy and quick. I feel better now. Good looking out!

    TRD instructions say 207 on lower CAs and the dealership is saying 96

    others on here have said 96

    With it around 96 I get a pop at low speed turns… when i tried to get them to 200 the pop stopped.

    so my question is 207 too much? Why does Toyota have conflicting info?

    is there that big of a difference between 96 and 207… I think so but I’m not a technician
