That's all great and I mostly sympathize with you but it'd still be nice if Toyota found a way to get us further using less. It means I can spend my gas money on other things.

Maybe that makes me a Nancy.

A barrel of crude oil can make about 19 US gallons of gasoline, 10 gallons of diesel, 4 gallons of jet fuel and another 9 gallons of other oil products such as liquid petroleum gas, plastics, lubricants or heating oil

Thank you for the information. What was the purpose of it because it flew right over my head?

During the Chicago Auto Show when news first broke for the (minor) upgrades to the 2020 Tundra, I could have sworn the presenter mentioning that JBL audio will come with Tundra Pros. Anyone have confirmation if this is fact or fiction?

It is to show there is very little gas made from a barrel of oil so it needs to be conserved as much as possible. We will run out of gas

If you are wanting to conserve fuel, you should have chosen a different vehicle to drive. Like a Prius.

Your suggestion certainly doesn't disappoint but instead of hinting at me being weak, effeminate or a snowflake you went full Prius on me.

    Bravo.

I'd like a little beefier build. 1/2 ton Chevy/GMC will support a 7 1/2 foot Fisher standard duty snowplow. The Tundra only the lighter HT one. Otherwise I'd own 2 Tundras.

Gas isn't going to "run out" anytime soon. In fact, the more we use the more new oil deposites we find.

Reason: Technology advancements allow us to explore areas we previously ignored because it was too expensive or difficult to drill there. It's like only picking apples you can reach from the ground and then someone shows up with a stool, then a ladder, then a man-lift. Oil exploration and harvesting is the same way.

If they keep up this bullshit with not letting any lifted Tundra get PCS recalls fixed, a lot of people might jump ship. Tacoma owners aren’t too happy either.

Bulletin came out this week. Any modified tundra meaning lifted and/or oversized tires and etc cannot participate in the new PCS recall.

I wonder what the odds of this being retrofittable on a 2018 are, would love to have it. My guess is there are a lot of electronics changes to make it happen, so probably less than 20% chance of a "bolt on" type of upgrade by buying the start button, a harness and key fob. That's not even addressing the keyless entry in the door handle.

Yeah, what you see as an undesirable thing, is a huge value to others.

I won't be spending new-truck money on a vehicle that doesn't have TSS or the like. After 85,000 miles on a Subaru Legacy with Eyesight, I'll never go without adaptive cruise control again. It's safer, and makes the experience of driving less fatiguing.

I'd probably be in a Chevy / GMC with a 6.2L if it weren't for the fact that they don't have adaptive cruise. Instead, that leaves me with Tundra and Ram. It'll be a tough decision.

+1^ exactly dude, its just part of the evolution. The guys who resist change are a small fraction of the people out there; "what's this bluetooths, we dont need that!" "air conditioning? nonsense!" When you have to sell a 5 year old truck, and the thing is more than TEN years behind the times, it leaves you holding onto something that is really pretty undesirable.

I had the push button start on my 2016 TurdGen Tacoma. I actually prefer the key start in my 2018 Tundra!

They need to find a way to compete in the towing category. The other 1/2 tons are kicking their ass.

Funny thing is when the 2007's were released they had the highest towing capacity.
You can't sit on your hands for 12 years and expect to stay on top!

Toyota seems to be late to the party when it comes to most updates
