I tried it, so far so good. Super easy to apply, just wiped on after washing and pressure washed it off, instant beading. Hope it lasts a few months.

I put it on my Tundra and my son’s Corolla two weeks ago. Works great so far. I’m a die hard gold class wax fan, but the Tundra is a massive amount of real estate to wax. I’m giving this new stuff a try. I hope it lasts. I would love this easier way to wax and protect.

I did my 2013 crewmax and my 2000 access cab and they look really good. The paint on the 2000 isn't that good anymore but it looks much better now.

I used a synthetic clay bar and the McGuires Ceramic Wax on my black Miata. Freakin amazing for the amount of effort required. Used it on the Tundra and I should have clayed it first but it looks better than ever. I'm a fan.

These new spray on products and their ease of use has made me like detailing. No more spending a full day on just waxing, I used to loathe that can of paste twice a year. And not even realizing it only protected for a few weeks. The new generation of paint protection lasts 5-10 times and long and is 10x easier to apply.

I bought some when it first came out available to buy and tested on the wifes pearl white mini van and thought it did well. I am in process of correcting my paint finish now and will apply when done. Can't wait to see how it does on my blazing blue. I use Meguiar's ultimate line quite a bit, so I'm psyched to try this now!

I was very intrigued by the above posts, so I googled Mcguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax...maybe this is a different product than you are using above.

Anyway, the internet is full of videos and posts saying it is nothing more than glorified water and certainly isn't a high ceramic wax product as advertised by Mcguiar's.

I'm a huge Mcguiar's whore, in general they put out solid products at a reasonable prices. I hand wax my truck a couple of times a year with their basic cleaner wax and it does a very good job on my nine year old truck.

So, I'm wondering, did I google the wrong product?

If we're talking about this stuff, I'm a fan. Seems to work well and is holding up nicely.

I think people are trying to disprove the ceramic part in the name, saying its a marketing ploy. Thats fine. Since I've learned about this last night, I'm sold. I care about ease of application, and lasting results with a nice finish. Checks the boxes from my research.

In between hand waxing jobs, I typically use Meguiar's Quick Detailer Mist & Wipe; I think when I run out I will switch to the ceramic wax.

so if you searched Mcguiar's instead of Meguiar's, that may be a problem. lol jk.
but i have used it and feel like it's basically a very good/strong/extremely hydrophobic spray wax. If it doesn't last like a true ceramic coating, i don't personally think it should have that labeled as it. but maybe it has just enough of the ceramic composition in it to be considered one. just my opinion....and being married, that doesn't mean much haha

You’re seeing a lot of ceramic applications bash the product, as it will take some of their business. Most professional applications cost hundreds. This product does contain the SiO2 and is a true ceramic. Most “professional” products have SiO2 and TiO2. I think this is a really cool product and so far I’m happy with it. And at $15 a bottle, it doesn’t break the bank.

I’ve used this, and I do like it, due to the price. I used this on my daughter’s truck, and the Adams Spray Ceramic on my wife’s. Did both on the same day.

The Meguair’s performed much better. Both were easy to apply, though Meguair’s was easier. The Meguair’s left a much better shine, and repelled water better. There was some minor streaking with it, but it went away on it’s own by the next day.

Both are advertised to last several months to a year. This is where they failed. The Adams was gone in a month, the Meguair’s took two months to degrade. When reading durability claims, keep in mind that these are all based on garage kept vehicles that aren’t driven every day.

No product will live up to their claims on a daily driver that’s kept outside. Half of that is considered a success.

Is it a true ceramic? I’m guessing it has enough in there to keep from being false advertising, but it’s nowhere in the same league as a real ceramic coating like CQuartz. Those are measured in years, not months.

I would definitely recommend Meguair’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax. At $15.00 a bottle, you’re going to get good results, and enough product to last you a while. I don’t want you guys to expect it to last six months though. I got two months. For that price, and ease of application, it’s still a good product. It takes little effort or expense to reapply even once a month.

There are better products out there. Hydro2, Beadmaker, Reload, Gyeon Wetcoat, Punch It, and many others will look better and protect longer than Meguair’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax, but nowhere approaching that price. You can get a bottle of Beadmaker under twenty bucks, but it takes a whole bottle to do a Tundra. I’d say you can get at least 3-4 applications from one bottle of Meguair’s.

It likely won’t be in my regular rotation, but only because I’ve made the investment in the higher end stuff. If detailing wasn’t my hobby, I’d definitely use it. For guys who aren’t as passionate about it as I am, it’s definitely a good call.

In comparison, the Adams is $70.00 for a bottle. I almost lean towards that being unethical for how it performs.
