I do ALOT of fwy miles, so on average I’d say between 16-18 depending on the highway. Around town the average goes down to 12-14

This is with a stock 4.6L and factory 275/70r18

My numbers are from Fuelly. The value on the dashboard is completely wrong.

Basically, no. In comparable tires the difference is about 1.5 to 2 lbs. The 255 is the lighter of the two and the contact patch is slightly narrower but those two things would be negligible where mpg's are concerned. IMO a significant weight difference is going to affect your mileage the most.

I'm getting around 11-12mpg in town. Open road I got 16.8 at for a high. Stock truck except for the toolbox in the back that has minimal content in it. As many have said - I didn't get it for the mileage but for the reliability that I had heard about. My stock tire size is P275/55R20.

We did this also. Toyota Camry Hybrid. Getting 43.8mpg in town is nice. :D

That is not a stock tire size. Factory on the 18s is 275/65/R 18

Getting 14.1 with chevron 92, and 15.1 with 87, that is combined driving. Sound about right? Mud tires , etc...

Took a trip from central Virginia to Pelham, TN over the weekend, 19.1 going, 18.2 returning, but had around 400 pounds of cannon balls on the return trip, mostly interstate, doing the speed limit.

The more gas I put in the tank, the more mileage I get.

Ya think with all the technology nowdays, gas mileage could be improved. Is 25 MPG too much to ask for? 22 ? ? Okay..I know its a 4X4 truck, but.....
Tundra compared to My Camry, it gets 30 MPG.
