Suspension Improvement: What Shocks/Struts for mostly street?

    My 2000 AC TRD w/95,000 miles has never had new shocks/struts. Any recommendations for a better road ride? I doubt I’ll be off-roading. I just want a less floaty road ride, less lean in corners.

    I expect to do little to no towing or hauling or serious off-roading.

    I bought the truck new and found OEM TRD has too much body roll. It’s been 19 years and it’s time to start improving the ride. Better late than never

    I just put Bilstein 4600's all the way around on my 1997 T100. And love the firm ride around town (it's a dang truck for chris' sake). Might consider those. Pretty easy on the wallet.

    Your ride will improve as mine did with Billy 5100’s, new front sway bar bushings, a new
    $561 Hellwig 7700 Hellwig Rear Sway Bar Kit - 7700
    Hellwig 7700 Rear Sway Bar, and a high dollar alignment (assuming your cam bolts can be adjusted without getting new ones).

    The ride is sporty and cornering is fun again. Tows and hauls better as a bonus even though thats not important to you.

    Rides better now than when new purchased in 2002.

    i’m having a set of adjustable Bilstein 5100 installed next week. 95,000 miles, original owner first new set of shocks and struts. Are there any other things anyone here would address at the same time to eliminate squeaking?

    I have the TRD AC Limited. I’ve been hearing a bit of suspension squeaking as I go over speed bumps and rough roads.

    I have to say I love this truck more every year!

    Here is what I did last fall and it eliminated all my squeaks and worn out tire suspension.

    2 OEM LCA and bushings
    2 New CV joints (brand?)
    2 OEM Ball Joints
    New Rotors/Pads
    4 BillyJean 5100
    All New Cam Bolts
    New Links/Bushings to existing OEM Front Sway Bar
    High Dolla Alignment

    OEM Tie Rods/UCA were good.
    Steering Rack/Bushings are still in good shape.
