One thing that we hate about our trucks?

The auto headlights drove me nuts also. I turned that off with 2 days of picking up my Tundra. Same with the LDA. In our area, every time that you swerve to miss a pothole, etc, it beeps. Turned that off quickly also.

I bought 3 long knockoff lightning cables on Amazon for $15 on Boxing Day, they seem to charge fine on the latest iOS in the truck, sync not sure, although my kids have older iPhones. The long OEM Apple ones are a ripoff.

Side note, at home, if you have X or later, an official USB-C lightning cable and a 18W charger like Choetch is blazing fast. I don’t bother with wireless charging or an iPad brick. Like 50% in 1/2h as the comparison charts say.

after spending time in SK at -45, I finally understand the need for heated steering wheels - and wish we had them even as an option in these trucks

and btw, I've finally started the vinyl on the inside- it will all be blacked out soon!

What kind of boat and what are you going to use it for? Most of the standard wakeboard boats that everyone seems to have these days are around 4500 lbs dry. Call it maybe another 1000 lbs or so at most for trailer, fuel and gear.

That's an awful lot to be towing with a half-ton...

    Love my 2015 Tundra...BUT...

I don't like how music in my phone or USB sorted by the folders I set up cannot be when sorted and played through the Tundra music system the same way.

I also don't like the useless readouts by the speedometer...does ANYONE care to know their:
    - average speed? - average gas mileage?
    - amount of time since you turned the key on?
WHY did they not put a clock there!?

Just turned 53 ... but grew up with farm trucks not so long ago ... really, that comment was just my way of saying, I get it, really I do [no truck is perfect], but it's not like we're making clay bricks for a buck a day in Pakistan.

But, I do get the point of the thread ... continuous improvement!

I’ve only had my 2019 SR DC for a few weeks and love it, and wanted the bench seats. But...I wish it had a way to raise the seat a little. I’m 6’-1” and still feel like I sit too low. Even cheapo rental cars I drive have the little manual lever to raise/lower the seat!

Newsflash buddy i had already bought 3 adapters to go from cigarette lighter to usb. So yes i need them in the front and back and didn't expect to need to spend more on a $50g sticker truck just to be able to charge a couple devices.
Still scratching my head on why there are 3 cigarette lighter ports to 1 usb.and why not put one in the center console where most sit their phones on.
    Get it now?

I completely agree, I'd keep the '07 until a new platform comes out...i did same thing "upgraded" from a new $27k '07 to a $50k limited '18....i definitely feel like the '07 was way more for the $$$.
If i had the ability to do over I'd wait for '20 or whenever they'll actually make REAL SIGNIFICANT updates to the truck to bring it in line with the competition.

It’s funny what $50k does and doesn’t buy you.
My 2017 4Runner has the SR5 Premium package which doesn’t have automatic lights but It does have Intermittent wipers though! My 2019 base model SR Tundra has automatic lights but not intermittent wipers...go figure. The engineer must’ve felt devious the day they spec’ed option packages!

    A bunch
Toyota packages are easy but annoying. You pick the package and that's that. Go to a domestic and you can outfit your options like crazy, it's tough to pick whether to go up a trim or just take the option. I'm torn which way I'd prefer for the new generation. I'd love to be able to outfit a truck from the frame up, but how much would that cost?
