I have been working on my upgrade to Fox coilovers and new tires and wheels in stages for a few weeks now and finally got it all done! Basically a 3"/1.5" lift with 35's on a '19 Platinum 4x4.

Here is a list of all the upgrades that I did:
    35x12.50x20 BFG AT KO2's
XD Grenade 135 Matte Grey 20x9's +18 Offset
Fox 2.5 3" External Res up front
Fox 2.5 External Res in rear
    Total Chaos UCA
Toytec Rear Shackle set at 1.5" lift
    1" Diff Drop
    Body Mount Chop
    Front Fender Inner Liner Trim
Bushwacker Fender Flares - modified with black hex head screws and SunTec protective film underneath the flares to prevent paint damage.
Driver's Side Grab Handle - this is great!
    Wrap side mirrors satin black
    Blackout 4x4 emblem
    Amp Power Running Boards
Magnuson Supercharger - 543 HP and 550 Lb Ft of Torque
    Borla Touring cat-back dual exhaust
    TRD Rear stabilizer bar

The front and rear lift came out to be exactly 3/1.5 once complete and gave me a slight rear rake. also, the truck is level within 1/8th inch since the lift was installed. It was off by about 1/4 to 3/8 before the lift. Ride is not affected much by the lift but the tires do make for a slightly more firm ride and some minor tire noise at speed. I don't feel any noticeable difference in handling so I am not considering a rear sway bar at this time.

I installed it all in my garage with the help of my son and it went pretty smooth with the exception of getting the coilovers in place. Somehow the left half shaft came loose at the CV joint and it was a bear getting it back together. I lost about 4 hours working on that. A few 4 letter words were spoken in the process. :( When removing the top spindle nut be careful not to pull the spindle out away from the truck or you may experience the same problem. In hindsight I should have tied the spindle up to prevent it from pulling out too far.

Once everything was done I brought it in to get it aligned and everything was still pretty much in spec. The new UCA probably accounted for this. Below is a shot of my alignment specs.

In stock trim the tires were lost in the fender wells and I had originally installed the flares but had to remove them because of the look. With the new wheels and tires they stuck out past the fender wells about 1-3/4 inches. Now they fit even with the flares. The self tapping screws that came with the shocks for the reservoir mounts should not be used as they will either strip out the hole that needs to be drilled in the chassis or will break off when you try to secure them. The metal for the chassis is just too hard. I drilled them a bit larger and used bolts and nuts to secure them. I also added an extension for the sensor wires on the rear as with the 1.5 lift they were right at the limit of their travel. I made the bracket myself to lift the wires about 1.5 inches.

I should also mention that my Tundra has a 4.30 rear diff because of the towing package. I do not notice any problems with power and so far it looks like I lost 1 MPG overall. Also before this my speedo was about 2 MPH less than displayed but now it's about 3 MPH more at 70 MPH. If I do decide to change to a 4.56 it will be mostly to get a true posi rear diff.

I have no issues with rubbing at all. Plenty of room all around. 4 Wheel Parts did the BMC, mounted the tires, and did the alignment. They did a very good job.

My son helped me to install the Magnuson Supercharger. It went on pretty easy. The hardest part was getting the new drive belt on as it is super tight and took a while and some cussing to get it on there. The power delivery is really smooth and the sound is great. I also installed a Borla touring cat-back exhaust and the TRD rear stabilizer when I did the S/C. Now the power and handling is matched up to the 6000 lb. behemoth!

I did need it but only the 1" as my CV joints had a hard angle on them. Some say it's not needed but I did not want to put so much stress on the CV joints. The 1" worked well.

Thanks everyone! I won't be doing much off-roading but when I do it should be solid. I am more of a boulevard cruiser but just like the look of a lifted truck and nice wheels. Some of the roads here in Houston are almost as bad as an off-road trail so it will be tested. I am enjoying it!!!:D

Thanks Dude! It was a good bit of work and worth it. After driving it for a while it handles pretty good and no issues with the lift. I had to do some trimming on the skid plate but that was minor. My MPG dropped about 1.5 MPG though. Still I am loving it!

Just an update. Everything is still working well on my setup. No major problems so far and still a pretty good ride overall.

One thing to note though is the Toytec shackles. When I installed them I opted not to change the leaf spring bushings on the rear of the springs. Because of this I had an annoying squeak on both rear springs every time the suspension moved. I did get the poly bushings when I ordered the shackles but did not replace them due to the difficulty of removing the factory bushings (that's another story).

Once I replaced them the springs have no binding and no more squeaks. It was a lot of work replacing them but worth it. I am still not sure why they squeaked as the factory shackle design is not that different.

So my advice is that you replace the factory bushings with the poly ones if you will be using Toytecs. The best way that I found to get the factory ones off, assuming you don't have a suitable bushing remover, is to drill through the rubber bushing all around the center sleeve until you can get the rubber part and the center sleeve out. Once it's out you can use a saws-all to cut a slot in the outer bushing sleeve to release some of the friction that is holding it in and then use a 30mm socket to drive it out. I had to use a gear puller and the socket to get the sleeve moving and then knocked it out with a couple of taps on the socket. Sounds easy but really takes some work to complete.

I love the way it looks. Since your ride height is about the same as mine I want to know if you had wheels with the factory offset would you still clear the upper control arm if you were using the factory stock wheels with those tires. The reason I ask is I have a nice set of BMF wheels on my Tundra and I still use the factory wheels for winter driving. My factory tires are shot and I wanted to replace them with 35x12.5x20's but am worried that the tire will rub on the UCA with the factory offset.

Hey, Great looking truck! I have a similar looking 20 CM with same height lift. As far as the fuel, when I first got it 2 months ago, I kept worrying about the mileage drop after I put in the 285/75R18 Ridge Grapplers. So I tried driving like an old lady for one tank, even shift into neutral on every downhill, then I drove like a teenager for another tank. The difference was less than 1/2 mile per gallon. So it helped me to quit worrying about the mileage drop. It is what it is, and I smile the whole time I walk outside and get in it.

BTW, was wondering if you knew for sure you needed a BMC? I did not need one and I am considering throwing on some 35x12.50 on some new 18" = 18 offset wheels and wondering if I even need it. Of course, I've read everything on the forum, but some say they did, some say they didn't. Just curious.

    Cheers!!!

I am not sure about that. If it did clear it would be close. I did not try larger tires on the factory wheels. Just went directly with the 35's and the XD wheels.

Yes I did need the BMC on mine. I have heard that some got away without it but I had some minor rubbing and needed it. I did not want to screw up the font edge of the fenders or scrape the wheels on the mount. The best mileage that I can get now is about 15 MPG if I keep it at 70 or below on the mostly level road.

Question do you have a picture of 4WP BMC I am curious if it looks like stock when chopped and welded or do the just cut it tack weld a couple spots and leave it bare. I live in AZ but I have seen a lot of good videos on BMC being done by 88 rotors in California. That looks fantastic like it was from factory that way. Any pictures would be great.
