I'm looking at the BakFlip MX4 or the Extang 2.0! I know there was someone who could get a real good forum price on here but I forgot!

We are going to Boston and back and wanted to store luggage and things so I hear the MX4 was a bit more secure wise?

I'm looking to spend $800 and know theres special prices out there, here as well! I wouldn't mind a used one but cant seem to fine any!

    Thanks for the input!

I went with the MX4 (purchased just over a year ago). No complaints. The one thing I like best is that you can open and close the tailgate with the tonneau cover down - I don't believe you can do that on other covers. Think I paid ~$900 installed, maybe less....I don't recall.

I have an undercover one that is very like backflip (hard 3 panel). I can also open the tailgate with the cover down. I love it and had no complaints. It was also in that price range. Installer told me they sell about the same number of covers in both the undercover and the backflip.

I just installed my MX4. Got a great deal from Luke with truckalterations.com. Email the sales and he will respond with his best price! Best part is no tax if you aren’t from his state. NC I believe.

If your looking at the Extang 2.0 look at my post a few threads down. Not everyone experiences wrinkles on the cover but most people do experience leaking with it.

You should hit up @eccracer104. I think he may be the person your thinking about. He can probably give you a good deal through Autoanything. Hope that helps.

I’ve had this one for a couple years now. Got it for ski trips. Leave all the gear back there. It works great, easy to install and take off/ put on by yourself. Keeps stuff out of sight and more or less secure as long as you lock your tailgate.
I got it for just over $400. Got it off tonneau covers . Com or something like that 516E4F78-9B4C-4C76-8C42-A0011293A63C.jpg

You still haven't ordered one! I have PMs with you from early 2018

I'm very fond of the MX4 myself, up until @dblizzo 's issue with his Solid Fold 2.0 I had never come across a problem with them.
I have a ProZ ProFold for my Taco, happy with that one, and the UnderCover Armor Flex is also a really cool cover!

Feel free to shoot me a PM on whatever you'd like

    Thanks,

I used the money for other mods, ;) but now we are planning a trip to Boston and back I feel I need it! Just want it semi secure and from what I've been hearing the MX4 is a little harder getting into!

    Thanks again for remembering!

    Other mods? Nice!

Yeah, the MX4 is a great cover all around and does offer some great security to the bed. No cover is completely theft proof, but this is a great one to keep most crooks away.
Want me to shoot over a quote?

edit: I now see you already PM'd me! lol
