Talk me into ceramic coating

Curious quick search; there are some similar RO (Reverse Osmosis) units out there for making soft water. I believe the same results could be achieved without the expensive resin, although it does have a filter/membrane that would have to be changed. Prices ranged quit a bit. Anyone look at the RO as an option?

Someday, if my truck isn't my daily, I plan to get super OCD with it. Maybe my next truck. For now I will try my best.

JK, I've never actually used my backpack blower to dry my truck, but I have thought about it!

 

Come on over! I use my leaf blower all the time to dry the vehicles. I never used my back pack on it, but I have the rechargeable small Makita blower and that works awesome.

 

I may try the backpack blower today, I have a new bucket of goodies to try. A little lawn dethatching then hopefully washing the truck! Dad stuff.

 

I'm definitely interested to hear the results and it's something I'd definitely consider down the road. It would be a no brainer without the coating, even with, like u said, I'm sure will pay great benefits, for me though, right now reaping the benefits of the hydrophobic properties of the coating, feel the need to spend elsewhere before I take that plunge. Pls don't take the wrong way, I'm certainly not saying, this would be or is a waste. I can't say that, especially when I was so close to pull the trigger on it months ago. I really do hope u get great use out of it, and I'm hoping you find it's worth every penny. If I were to guess, I'd say you will end up being very happy with your purchase.

I just went down from 4 to 1 blower. I had a commercial walk behind little wonder I sold for mod money lol. Now I got a backpack and 2 handhelds. I haven't found a need and don't want to use the backpack for vehicle drying, I'm afraid of turning into it or scratching the truck due to carelessness. I find quickness and maneuverability to be best when using a blower to dry. I've found this 1 in particular to work best.


It's an EGO from home cheapo, I got on sale real cheap. It's electric and does an awesome job. It's very lightweight, powerful, and rechargeable. The only downside is when running wide open for some time, I wish the battery had a little more life. I get just about all the way around perfect and it usually comes up just short of knocking every single bead of water off. I'd recommend it.

I'm getting lazy with research, life has been hectic lately.

 

Dudes! Total game changer! Two bucket wash and a rinse. And dry in sun. Didn’t bring my micro fibers drying towels out of the garage! Totally blown away. Wife’s white GX dried spotless. Look at those windows. I just finished rinsing my black truck. It won’t dry until morning now. I will post pics of the black vehicle tomorrow when I get my butt out of bed.

 

Nice! I remember how excited I was after using mine the first time. Besides not having to dry the truck, it just gets cleaner to my eye.
Not just convenient, but letting it air dry cuts way down on paint contact, so less opportunity for scratches.

How does that hose reel work for you? Been thinking of getting one.

 

Not good. Steer clear. It rusted during the first year and the wheels are not solid.

 

10-4. Been looking for a good way to store the hose I use with the CR Spotless. I’ve tried a plastic reel, but it was junk.

 

For the CR Spotless, I picked up one of those 50 ft. expandable hoses. It seemed to work great and winds around the CR Spotless handle for storage.

 

This will be my next hose reel brand for the garden hose.

Check out a hose called Zero G.
I got 2 last year and they are amazing. Very flexible and light weight. They arent expanding hoses but look like them, power washer safe, non kinking. Super durable, come in 1/2" and 5/8". 50,75,100 feet. I can not recommend them enough. You will never go back to another hose. I dont have a reel but I think it would work well for one. I wouldn't steer you wrong

Actually I think that’s what I have. Not the expanding one.

 

My wife's uncle swears by them, they are all he uses.

I have a junk plastic one that makes me want to remake the copier scene from Office Space.
