So is the bdx the same as the gas + version? And does bully dog have a tune that's for long tube headers or just the standard ones everyone list?

Bdx is a more modern way to download Bullydog tunes. They’re all the same tunes. Just the tool used to transfer from the laptop to truck ecu is nicer.

And yessir I worked directly with Bullydog to make a tune just for long tube headers.

Keith, I bought the old Bullydog programmer from you about a year ago. Needless to say I never installed it and I sold the programmer online. Do you have to take the fuse out and hook up the battery charger with the BDX? I’m SC’d.

Same install procedure as platinum. Just done by WiFi.

Hey, I’m out of the office, but while I’m thinking about it, call if you can. I need to confirm your address. 760-877-4234

Do you need buy it special for a 2015 Tundra 5.7 or can you just pickup a used one and the correct plugs for that year

Not quite sure. You may want to call bully dog. I don’t know if they changed anything 14 and up. But if you get a used one you will have to pay a small fee to have it unlocked for your Vin number and get rid of the previous one.

As long as the previous owner properly uninstalled the unit there is no fee by Bullydog.

So let me get this straight, You can not adjust for tire size and it does not a a MPG saving tune. It's just performance tunes for the most part?

    I run with:

    premium
    Off
    Performance
    Performance

Yes, I do use high octane gas but it's much more responsive with this setup and I like how it drives. Also, you cannot change the tire size with the BD. It does not adjust the speedo.

Your welcome. How are you liking it so far? BTW, if your going to run with regular octane gas, then stick with the regular tune. The premium tune does require the higher gas.

im loving it i noticed the shifting is a lot smoother especially with the 35s not so much of a drag and a little bit of mpg increase. i went from 10.5 mpg to about 13mpg.

Have not had the opportunity to try the tow tune yet so have no idea how it feels. My mpg's junped just over 1.5 but I also put in the S&B intake and not sure if it's contributing anything.

I’m coming from a paddle-shifting rwd sports sedan, where I solely used the paddles.
I cannot get used to the Tundra in auto mode, and find myself slapping the shifter to the left and manually shifting nearly everywhere I go.

Would the Bullydog benefit me in any way, or no?

Co worker told me that he had the Bully Dog tuner installed. He says that he can tell the shifting is smoother. His truck has a 6" lift and 35's. Getting 20 mpg. I am sure that some people on this forum have something like this, just want to know if the investment is worth the money. Cost him 400.00 for it.

My Tundra is stock the mpgs should be above 20. Anyway let me know if you have info.

    Thanks

Several folks have BD tuner and really like.

I bet your coworker is stretching the truth about milage.

Your stock should be above 20 mpg? maybe down hill with a tail wind.....

I've used the Bully Dog on my past truck (2012 Ram 2500 Mega Cab w/Hemi). It was nice, but didn't really see an improvement in MPG's. I haven't used one on my Tundra, but based upon my past experience I'd be open to buying one again.

I consider it more of a performance upgrade, settings to enhance your driving experience; although you can "detune" as well.

Is there an official bully dog settings thread yet? I have just started diving into the capabilities but I would like to know what else it can do. How do I know what % to change the speedo for 37s? Beeps, lights, etc...
