Hey all, has anyone on here done a Glock build on one of the Polymer 80 lowers? Got to lookin at em last night, and its pretty appealing since there's one to build a custom Glock 21SF. Sounds like a fun way to get myself the double stack 45 that my collection is lacking.

Try finding a 21sf slide, it’s not easy.

Yeah no kidding! 99% of the retailers show them as out of stock.

I carry a glock 36 all the time... When the 30s came out I thought it would be the cat's pajamas... After I handled it I was left unimpressed. Cool gun, but it just didn't fit me or my hands. When I buy a hand gun I pick out an object in the room. I close my eyes and point the gun where it seems like it should be. When I open my eyes I need to be looking straight down the slide, through the sights, at the object. When I opened my eyes on the 30s I was no where near the target. For a gun that I carry, it has to come up as a reflex, like a well fit trap gun comes to your shoulder. The double stack 45 made it handle terribly. The 19x however was dead on. All the more reason to build one like you are thinking, but it is hard to do it online.

Cost wise it will most likely be cheaper to just buy the real thing. Thats what a friend of a friend of a friend told me ;)

Ive done a P80 26, and 19 as well. As far as the pricing goes people are right vs buying the regular one. However, if you have some patience in building it you can often catch parts on sale so youll slide in a little under. Also i like the colors readily avail. which is why i did the p80 route my 26 is green and 19 is grey

Obviously, I’m looking for a project and want to customize it myself, otherwise I would “just buy a brand new Glock.”
