Anyoneknow of any good off-road shops in northern NY? Looking to get my LSD installed and possibly gears. I don’t care for any of the shops around here. Tried looking around Syracuse and didn’t see anything. Almost want to drive 3hrs to 4 Wheel Parts. I’ve had good experiences with them.

I know Cheney tire in Watertown installs lifts and things like that for the dealerships not sure about the gears. Might be worth it to give them a shout maybe they can point you in the right direction?

I’ve been there twice. Every time the guy acts like he knows everything and will argue that I don’t want what I am asking for but instead what he likes.

When I went for wheels, he called someone to ask what the stock offset was. After he hung up he said it was +40. I told him no, it’s +60. He said Toyota doesn’t release that info and his guy paid $2500 for a manual with that info. The offset (which is +60) is literally stamped on the wheel.

So my advice is not to go to Cheney tire or be prepared to have to talk to a guy that knows nothing but will argue with you.

Lol ya I’ve never personally dealt with him, just giving the OP an option. I know there’s a lot of race car drivers in that area, maybe they could help him?
