Sucks man... What do you do? There's jobs everywhere. Even if you make a little less, it won't be permanent. Could be something better right around the corner.

What state are you in? Willing to move?

Hell if that's what you were doing, maybe you could work for FedEx? That would be a great company.Cdl jobs are everywhere. Anytime someone asks me about work, I tell them just to move to north Texas. Cheap to live here and plenty of work. Good luck man. Keep us posted on what you find!

Right now im in south carolina... moving would be nice but a expense right now I cant afford right now plus I have someone is school so my hands are tied up on that....

But like in the industry.. I have been in it for so long there is a difference between looking for drivers and hiring anymore.... everyone is out to save a penny anymore...

I don't think unemployment is too bad right now. I think trying to get specific jobs is pretty difficult, but I think as long as your not picky that you won't have an issue. Get a shitty one to pay the bills til you find the one you want.

Bigger problem they dont like to see you get a job and leave say 3 months later.. they frown on that idea alot... I did that once I got grilled on that twice never hired me becuase of it...

Thank everyone for your support in this mess. I hate to say it but I dont think this will be easy.

I hate to say it, but feeling bad and sorry for yourself is probably the worst thing you can do. Do ONE thing per day, whether you want to start your own business, or find a job. For example, fill out an application, update your resume, etc. One thing. If I were you, I'd figure out something to do to start your own business. What do you love? How creative are you? There are some things you could do to make a couple extra bucks right now - Can you design create T-shirts? Go to Teespring.com and make a T-shirt you think people would be interested in. Set your goal and your price, and you can't lose unless you dont try. Sports T-shirts are popular buys, just something to keep in mind. Once you create the T-shirt (free), go to Facebook and buy an ad for $5, and target specific people of whom you think would be the most interested in your shirt. Go to Google Adwords and buy an ad on Google for $5, with the same concept. Share the shirt on facebook, join groups on facebook to share your different shirts. Go to Fiverr.com and list something you would be willing to do for people for $5 (Create popular Teespring T-shirts for them, edit their resumes or cover letters for them, etc). Join Vemma and get involved in multi-level marketing, and go sit in a mall or store somewhere promoting the principle. Its recurring income, but requires hard work, just like everything. There are tons of options for things you can do for yourself right now, other than sit on the other end of the internet and try to get people to feel bad for you. Once you start doing things for yourself, you'll feel better, and won't drone on the bullshit happening to your career right now. Just a few ideas....
