cause i grew up in the 80's, was missing me some instant control of the freq's...

removed 12v sockets and usb in lower center panel, got the old Dremel out....

will be adding Alpine 6x9 and 6.5 S-series along with my JBL amp... 40 watts per....

the Clarion has high level inputs, so we will have to see how that works with Factory HU... non-JBL

    wish me luck...

Sweet!!! Like Trooper2 says, I hope it works out.

This is the bad boy we ran in the mid/late 70's. Serious pantie dropper. Pioneer cassette head unit, Pioneer 6x9's on the rear package tray and one of these.

    Life was good.

so , i got my EQ and amp installed and it sounds great. Still running stock speakers, but have Alpine S series 6x9 components and 6.5 coax's for next free weekend. The EQ has a hi-input LOC input that so far is working great! No hiss at all so far. Will see if that changes when i crank up the gain for the Alpines.

I used a bendable piece of plastic and some 2 sided tape for the panel around the EQ.

I LOVE having control over the freq's without menu hopping.

My truck has NO stock amp under the seat, so i used the generic male and female radio harnesses to access wiring that i needed to avoid hacking oem wiring. I had to move one pin (blue) on the harness to radio to get remote amp turnon, just released pin in connector and moved it over one spot.
