They will most likely fit. However, The 05-06 models have an extra bulb in the corner of the headlights, so that would be eliminated. Curious, you couldn’t find any darkish headlights specifically for the 05-06 tundra?

I understand. The link I provided is for the 00-04 access cab models and should fit into your truck without much hassle. I did something similar but the opposite, I put 05-06 headlights into my 2002. I’m posting 2 Ebay links so you can see the back of both the 05-06 and the 00-04 access cab lights. You will notice on the first link the bulb, socket and wire down in the corner in pic #4. That will be eliminated once you put the old style headlights in your truck. It’s not a big deal to not have it. The main big bulb/prong connection is what’s important. The second link is the 00-04 headlights.

I'm an enthusiast. The only other model that is comparable is the Sequoia. 2004 lights only fit 2004 Tundra/ Sequoia. The 05-06 Tundra changes.

Looks great:thumbsup: I knew they would fit. Did everything plug right in? With the exception of the corner bulb?

I there was one plug in the main headlight of the 05 that isn’t there on the 04 I don’t know what the second plug is for but I still have my high and low beams and that’s all that matters. Thanks for the help.

2nd plug is probably for the Day Time running light.

    Better driver?
revtune how did you put the 05-06 lights in your 02? Were you able to use the orange running light as your DTR?

    Thanks!!

Can 05-06 DC's use the Sequoia "double bubble" corner lights?

Yes, they will “fit” but you’ll need to make the headlight opening bigger with a metal body saw. The back of the 05-06 headlights are bigger and the corner side lights have to be paired together. In other words, buy them together. The 05-06 headlights also have a light in the inner corner with its own plug. That will need to be cut and spliced into the main headlight plug. They look good, but If I had to do it again, I would just buy the 00-04 headlights and be done.

i too would love to see a picture under the hood of the modification....looks like you have the smoked out 2005 lights i want on my 2004 DC. All the websites say they wont fit...but i think they will. not wanting to do too much cutting though.

My 2004 sr5 Toyota tundra has the 05 headlights, the ones with the small light in the inside corner. So my question is does anyone know if the 05 headlights that they say only fit double cab will fit into my access cab. Being that it already has the 05 lights then all 05 lights should fit? Or is there a difference from access cab headlights an double cab headlights?

I am hunting for a 2004 tundra crew cab led headlight conversion assembly ( not just the bulb) and having trouble finding them. I see the bulbs but would like a newer look. Help.

2004 Double Cab Tundras are the red-headed step-child of headlight assemblies. The 05-06 Double Cab Tundra assemblies don't work without retrofit/ modifications.

I believe 01-04 Sequoia headlight assemblies are the same as 2004 Double Cab Tundras... but still, your options are going to be pretty limited.

They can get you a retrofit kit, to which you can retro your own. There's a thread here you can find via Search that shows the process.

Hey everyone, read the discussion and decided to sign up and ask question.
I have 2004 Access Cab, my biggest concern is performance. Stock lights just really suck, the fog lights are almost better. Looking for a kit that can replace both and light up the road without a lot hassle, drop in replacements that actually do the job! Anyone have experience with a product that really does what most claim to do? HID or LED which direction? Really liked the look of the ones at top of post, just not sure they will get-er-done! Suggestions? I've tried many times to polish the stock lenses only to degrade in a few months...Looking for a permanent good solution that will allow me to drive on dark roads at night again. TIA for any suggestions.
