Previous owners for my house had a big ass garden. Removed most of it and turned it to grass. However, right in the middle was a 40 foot long bed of asparagus. And it's still there. It keeps coming back no matter how many times I mow those bastards down or light them on fire.

So to answer the question, yes. I have a small asparagus plot.

This little guy was hanging out under the succulents in the garden and got all wet when I turned on the hose.
He hung out for a minute then sauntered off into the neighbor's yard looking for cover.

The previous owners of my house, planted 8 fruit trees. At least your possum is tiny and cute. I’ve got 3 big ass ugly mugs roaming my backyard every night :annoyed:

I opened my front door looking for my kitty ~ it was time for her to come inside after dark. There she was standing nose to nose with a fully grown possum ~ they looked to be the best of friends.
The possum wandered off after it got a good look at me and my kitty hopped down and came back inside the house. One of the strangest things I'd seen my kitty do.

That’s funny you say that cuz aside from the possums I also have 3 different neighborhood cats that hang out in my backyard also
One time I had the back door open and one of the cats was pawing on the screen door as if he lived there

    WTF!!! LOL

Have had large gardens in the past, but in the last 3-4 years I've been fighting a losing battle with squirrels who've eaten almost everything making all the work not worthwhile. I think this year I need to build some kind of enclosure, not real motivated by this though so we'll see.

We have about an 8' x 30' garden. A couple of tomato plants, several pepper plants take up about 1/4 to 1/3 of it. The rest are green bean bush plants. We love fresh picked green beans. Last couple of years, a damn ground hog has come by at night and eaten the buds off of the bean plants. it leaves the tomatoes and peppers alone for now. As an alternative, I put several flower boxes on our deck railings and that worked well. It also makes it easier for my wife to pick the beans. I plan to build some elevated frames in the garden area this season and put more flower boxes of bean plants out there.
I saw a method of mounting some plastic rain gutters along to top fence rails and planting strawberries in them. I might try that this season also.

We have a garden but too early. Getting more spring snow this afternoon apparently. Mother's Day is normally a safe kick off time here in the Denver area.

No edibles for me. But I have a lot of landscaping in my front and back yard. Probably 12-1300 SF of garden areas between front and back yard. Mostly tropical and perennials.

Don't complain about the possums. They're natures pest control. They'll get rid of grubs, june bugs, and a host of other annoying bugs.

I don't garden, but my wife spends a lot of time in the yard when the weather's nice. I gave away my lawnmower years ago, and just do a little touchup with a weedeater now and then. Rather than make a massive post, here's a link to the folder with some pictures.
