Can anyone tell me how you could tell the difference between a trd offroad that has been powder coated from a real TRO pro rim?

I'm in the market for a older set. People still want a premium for them. If I'm going to pay that much, I want it to be real. I dont mind a powder coated tro offroad set, but wont payScreenshot_20190325-183841_Chrome.jpg pro prices.

Attached it a picture of a set I'm interested in. They want 1500 with the tires. Seems kinda high to me.

    Thanks

tbh I think they are the same wheel that Toyota powder coats differently. I think the market price is simply a reflection of the demand for branded trd parts. just my .02.

Man that seems like a decent deal cause Toyos are priced high. Split down the middle, 750 for open countries isn’t terrible. If they are in good shape.

Is there a way to check to see if these are real pro rims and not powder coated trd rims?

Also look for wheels from SX package. Same thing.

If you can find a set of TRD Offroad wheels that have been properly powdercoated, why would you even spend teh extra for the Pros? You can get the center caps, the metal and geometry are the same. Get some cheap TRD Offroad rims and powdercoat them yourself or buy them powder coated, if you can't get a fantastic deal on a real pro set.

Late to the party, but I feel this is true. I just ordered one TRD wheel to use as a spare (I misread and thought it was the a TRD Pro wheel). It feels exactly the same as the others, BBS-forged and everything. Even the color doesn't look too different. Just the branding on it looks slightly different.

Even if they are slightly different, using the TRD wheel for a spare should be ok in an emergency situation, right?
