Took a 2/4 that was accidentally cut in two 48" parts for another project and turned it into this. I will either grab another and raise its Height or do it again with a 2/6. It will keep tools, and small things from rolling away.

I made my own out of a 2x8. Made a fixture to drill holes across the top with two adjustable side pieces.

I like the adjustability side to side. I'm guessing the 2x4 is slid into the slot in the bed.

Adding my budget cargo organizer, thank you for the inspiration @jsundin and @Ryan Mc.
Somewhat rushed the build to make a 4 day Mohave Trail trip. The setup survived heavy offroading and will be detailed with more d-rings, metal Simpson ties for durability, and coated with bedliner.
Designed to carry two 5 gallon gas cans, 7 gallon water container, floor jack, and provide added support for the dual tire carriers. I added a peice of superstrut between the tires and used that to mount the cargo system to the bed.

I had one of those receiver-based shelf/storage things that I modified (made flat on bottom) that fits perfectly back there. It makes a nice low basket in the back.

Thanks! Pretty cheap to do, PT lumber, metal bracket, and black opaque deck stain to weatherproof. The factory grooves make it easy, just slide it out when you want the whole bed.

Oh, I forgot to note that the 7 gallon aquatainer busted apart within minutes. D-rings are the way to go.
I also didn't secure a hefty Eucalyptus log well enough and after about 2 hours of trail running...I ended up with a big dent from the pounding. Will be adding a firewood container of some sort as well.

    V2 in the works

Here’s mine... 2x4 hinged in the middle with a locking pin on the backside. Two plastic ammo boxes screwed on. One for tie downs, one for bungees and rope.

Yes I totally over complicated something very simple for no reason... but kind of for a reason.
1- the length of the board that fits width-wise in the truck, is slightly too long for the bed to shut the tailgate (without storing the board on an angle)
2- folds up for storage if I need to utilize more bed space.
3- all of the over complication led to many beers to be enjoyed.
