Lets put it this way. My buddy put a TRD sticker on his 2nd Gen and he never heard the end of the random pop shots from me. It was like a never ending roasting.

There is great looking Pro in town and I’m sure he looks down on my TSS with TRD parts. But he doesn’t make the payment for me. I wouldn’t put TRD stickers on it. I wish there were more options for TSS stickers. I’d love some black and white flag TSS stickers.

Really just the stickers or anything on a non-pro that says TRD Pro. I love to see the modded trucks, and I'm a total sucker for black rims. I don't understand why someone would want to make their vehicle a clone of a trim level they chose not to purchase.

Although I haven’t put any “TRD” parts on my truck, I never worry about what people think, EVAR! Most of my friends have big lifted trucks mine is leveled because I like high speed off-roading, they can’t even go fast. When they joke to me about how small my truck is I just go, “ok, you’ve made fun of me, what happens now? I’m still alive and still getting paid”. I never gave attention to “haters”, it’s your truck do whatever you want with it. If you can’t handle people’s thoughts about you, punch them in the throat with the apex of your elbow.

That's been my internal dilemma. I couldn't justify the look of the standard silver one but thought the blacked out one would look good on my truck.

Where I beg to differ on this point is the fact I almost bought a TRD Pro, but when I test drove it, I found out how much of the creature comforts it lacked. You hear about TRD Pro owners complain about something as simple as not having dual climate zones or leather motor controlled seats, it starts to make you ask why are you wanting a pro. I thought to myself that I wanted the creature comforts, and full knowing that if I did want to go off-road, I'd want better suspension and aftermarket tires. I see people change their Pro to the point they no longer have anything that makes it pro except for the badging. Would that still make them a poser to non-pro'ers?

In the end, I do get your point but I'd like to think people buy things and change them to their level of satisfaction. It's essentially asking - how much of something has to change before it is no longer what it's first labeled as?

So many options, so little space...you can get shiny reflective carbon-fiber, I think.

    YES YES YES ∆∆∆∆∆∆∆

I never considered my Platinum, with the PRO suspension, PRO grille, and TRD dual exhaust as cloning. The PRO is an overpriced SR5 with a bed stamp. I think it's actually funny when a PRO owner thinks its cloning, when it more like upgrading beyond what a PRO can be modified to... You can put everything but the bedstamp on any trim, so I'd rather have amenities and not need them vs wanting them and not being able to get them. Ball coolers ROCK!

Technically you can get the rear side panels with the bed stamp in it for any of the models as well. We just don't see people posting they spent that much for a bed stamp. However, if I was a fortune teller, I'd have had them replaced after the last two accidents I was in. As both bed side panels got replaced after two separate accidents.

I don’t see anything wrong with it. Like others on this thread said earlier, it’s your truck, you can do whatever you want with it. Just don’t put any Ford, Chevy, or Dodge parts on it:rofl::rofl:

I bought TRD suspension parts and intake to put on my 2007 SR5 that I already out TRD wheels on. Is it rice if I put on a TRD licence plate frame or badges?

This is a fun read. I have a TRD intake, TRD exhaust, TRD front and rear sway bars all on a 2011 Platinum.
I bought some matte black TRD stickers to put on my brake calipers once I paint them red.
I thought the color contrast would look good. Like others have said - to each his own. I would never try to pass the truck off as something that is isn't. Unfortunately, there are people out there that would try and make a buck on someone who didn't know the difference. The name of the game is know what you are buying before you go shopping for it. That way you won't get taken advantage of.

Here is my story, i wanted trd pro in mgm. dealer hand one, as i was driving to the dealer salesman called and said it just sold . I called every delership in my state for the pro, no luck. I could not even order one. So finaly i told the dealer to get me a trd 4x4 in mgm. Success. Since i bought the TRD tundra i installed the trd dual exaust, trd pro head lights, front pro grill, black end caps and trd shift knob. And yes not a TRDPRO however it is a TRD with the OEM PRO upgrate parts..
