I know there are a million topics on similar questions but I have been searching online for weeks and cant get a straight answer, so I decided to join the forum for some help from actual Tundra owners. I called 6 different online wheel dealers and got 3 yes and 3 no answers for the same setup.

I have a stock 2016 SR with the 18x8 wheels and +60 offset. I don't want to lift/level the truck, so I need to know the lowest offset/ wheel combo I can go without any rubbing or altering of performance. I also dont really want the wheel to stick out past the fender.

As I'm sure you all know there are VERY limited options for aftermarket wheels in high offsets. I would love to be able to put on 18x8.5" fury wheels with a +25 offset, but that adds about 41mm, and like I said half the companies say that is way too much. I was planning on settling for an 18x8" ATX wheel with +35 offset, but that still adds a solid inch, which a few people told me is still too much.

Have any of you guys used the 8/8.5" wide wheels with either +25 or +35 offsets without any alterations? How does it look sticking out past the fenders? Should I just stick with the +60 factory wheels? Thanks for your help I have been driving myself nuts with this...

35 is about flush with the fenders and 25 is about half an inch outside. Both improve the stance of the truck immensely.

I think you mean the "biggest" wheel size, not the lowest. In which case, I'd say 275/70 would be fine, but depending on your tastes, might be a little stuffed so I would say 275/65 would be perfect.

Thanks for the info. I was planning on going with 265/70/18s only to keep the weight down a bit, but the wheel has been the big issue. Just nothing to choose from if you stay +35 or more. And on top of that almost all the wheels are 9" wide which adds more distance from the stock. So you think I would have no problem with the 8.5" wide wheel and +25 offset? Which do you think looks better the +25 or +35 stance?

8.5 wheel with +25 offset will stick out about half an inch. It's all about preference. I think that would look just fine
As for weight, if you're really looking for a low weight, if you're running LT rated tires, they're gonna be heavier, but will last longer than a P tire.
265/70 is fine weight wise but a little skinny IMO. 275/65 would be much better IMO

Yah i am between the 265/70 or 275/65. I would go up to 275/70/18 ideally but that adds a ton of weight and less options at that size. I wanted to add a little height which is why i was leaning 265/70 but its basically more height or more width. My old truck had 285/70/17 which looked great but killed my gas mileage (new truck is now my daily driver).

    Thanks again for your help!

Wow thats impressive im not even getting that mileage now w the stock ms2 tires.

U think i can fit the 275/70/18s without lifting? Looks like it adds an inch. I was lookin into the kuhmo at51s, what tires are you running?

    Dang-

I was wanting to keep the stock trd wheels ('14 sr5 trd off road) and put 275/70 r18 either duratracks or bfg ko2 on them. The stock tire just doesn't fill out the wheel well enough, but I'm not looking to lift.
I still have bout 7500-10k mi of tread left on the Michelins which seem nice but just small/too tame.

Can I not increase the tire diameter 1" without a lift and cutting a whole bunch of junk( I'd rather not).
I wouldn't be opposed to dropping some bilstein 5100s on the truck and adjusting those. Don't want level, I definitely want to keep the rake the stock trd off-road has.

Any guidance from you good folks?

Perma, you would be fine with 275/70/18, my factory tires are 265/70/18, and have a shit ton of room. I have a 2.5 spacer lift that with my springs sagging is really a 2". Adjustable Bilstein up front will be more than enough for your 275/70/18. I plan on eventually going with the Bilstein 6112's up front and 5100 in back with a 295/70/18, but really think that's to much tire for that set up. The Cooper Stmaxx in that configuration weighs Damn near 70#'s a tire, and will cut that mpg if that's a concern. You definitely don't need to cut, chop, burn, etc. If anything a 1/2-1" wheel spacer will suffice the rest. I'm not an expert on tires and rims, but I have 2 things going for me here..... I stayed at a Holiday inn last night. 2- on a more serious note i've learned quite a bit from our resident pro's on this forum, as they know a great deal. To many to name , but I can honestly say you can't go wrong. Good luck and post ur pics

Do you think I would be ok with a 275/70/18 (33") on my stock unlifted/unleveled, non-TRD truck? I thought I read somewhere that stock setup could handle 33's but not sure. If they cant I will just stick with 32.6" 265/70/18s.

Thanks I appreciate it. It'll probably be springtime before I make the switch.

I might be misguided, but if there's still tread on a set of michelins, then I'm not gonna replace them Hahaha

You have plenty of space diameter wise, it's when you go with a tire that has a 12" or more width. So you have a couple scenarios, go with a slightly bigger tire, width and height, probably would be good stock, if anything spacers to get that tire away from your uca. When you get into aftermarket wheels then you have to realize that our Tundras 2nd and 3rd are around 50-60+ offset, so as mentioned in many threads and posts, a +18-+35 are a good choice. Hope this helps

Hey guys, finally got my wheels on and a couple other mods done to my 2016 SR. I ended up going with the Vision Fury Wheels, they were 8.5" width at a +25 offset. Threw on Kumho AT51 tires in 265/70/18 (32.6"). Offset doesn't look too bad, it sticks out a little bit, but def improves the stock stance. I will try and upload a couple stock pics vs upgraded truck pics below:

They told me i had to buy special aftermarket ones, I think they were "extended" so they could reach farther or something. I wanted black but apparently they only make chrome in the extended style. $40.

I'll try and find them for you tomorrow. I just looked in my garage and cant remember what I did with them. I already sold the wheels but I'm pretty sure I kept a couple extras for the spare.
