So I should be safe with that size tire on factory rims?

I went with the Centennial Dirt Commander M/T Mud Tires in 275/70/18....I know not everyone's first choice, but I decided to give them a go. So far, so good. Typically M/T road noise, but not that bad.

I put 275/70r18 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac’s on my TRD OR and they feel great with no rubbing issue at stock height.15F8CAA3-7A8B-41A4-8BFB-D4E67D53507E.jpg

More pics? I love duratracs and trying to decide on size and how much to do to truck in way of lift if anything. Appreciate any added pics.

Crazy how much impact from just a mild increase in tire size. There are guys out there running 35s and a few running 37s....good god they must spend $500 a month in gas.

My mpg went down a little maybe like 1-2 mpg depending on how heavy my foot is lol. So far good and don’t regret it at all.

As for pics this is what I got at the moment. Also just got the tow mirrors which is why the first pic doesn’t have em.

In my Xterra, i increased diameter by 4" (285/75/16 Load E duratracs). I cant recall original but were 29's Passenger for the 2001s... Im sure weight increased quite a bit. MPG was neutral. RPMs at cruising speed was less due to larger circumference that must have negated the downside to weight/more RPM needed during some acceleration. When i was in OD or towing, I did take a hit but not during DD...

I'm shocked the 275/70/18 change has such a large effect on this beast.

Did you notice much difference in gas mileage with the 275/70 Grabber ATX? Also how is traction in snow?? Thanks

I did loose some mpg. I figure about 2 mpg. But I don’t know for sure since it was a cold winter, I would warm up the truck.
Snow traction is outstanding. I would go through foot and half of snow no problem. Slush was no problem as well. So far I been extremely happy with General ATX.

Thanks for the info! I also live in a snowy climate and wanted to make sure the tires would be good in snow.

You will not be disappointed. It was an extreme Winter for us and ATX never let me down.

Also are you guys hand calculating your mpg? If not the factory computer estimates will be off unless you calibrate the speedo. I’m in regardless. Didn’t buy a tundra for the mpg. Also why I have a huge fuel tank!

Thanks. It was a hit or miss color. Not many trucks with bronze methods so I thought, why not? I'm glad it worked out. IMO anyways .

Stoked! Ride was smoother than expected. Hopefully get a trail pic tomorrow. Doing some MTB shuttle runs driving forest service roads.

Only issue I’m having is my tpms is now working intermittently. This is my stock rim so I don’t really know what’s up. Will call the tire installer on Monday I guess. Anybody have any clue?

Weird, so is mine. I tried the reset procedure on the dash in the menus and it’s only turned off once. The shop said they’re all reading just not communicating. In my experience if a lights on/flashing then ones broken or dead. What is odd, on the dash none are reading at all. And driving above 20mph for over 20-30 min hasn’t fixed it in reset mode so I’m annoyed. I’ll deal with it at my 5k.

I’ll have to try the reset. Strange thing on mine is they’re all reading correct at times and then they’ll go off. On and off 4-5 times on a long drive I did today.
