To fender flare, or not to fender flare? That is the question.

I have the same color CM, I personally don't like fender flares unless it's too keep debris off your truck. Most of them look like a Tonka add-on or something, JMO. However, low profile ones aren't bad, ones without the fake rivets. But, some trucks look good with them, some don't. I think yours looks good as is, but i'm biased.

I’m the same... if you’re going to flare, be modest.

I love the pro comp ones. No rivets but expensive...plus the whole having to cut part

I like the way it looks as-is. But I’m kicking rocks all over my rocker and chipping everything badly. I do about 200 miles a day, dirt road. Any recommendations on modest, black flares?

I don’t mind the cutting on the pro comps, but I think they’re wider than I’d need, given my bumper and offset

Love the way your truck looks now - but I also am a QS owner so a bit of a bias there. I can't find any flares that I like on the QSs they just look off somehow, and do have a few little dings already

Bushwacker Stampedes aren't too wide. I like mine. I get good protection and not throwing up crap on folks behind me. I didn't have flares on my Taco when I drove back from Anchorage. By the time I got back to CO my new trailer didn't look so new anymore. Both trailer fenders were almost bare of paint from all the gravel rock hits. Practically over looks.

I recently had my suspension and wheels added. I have about an inch poke or so. My quarter panel already has chips in it from the 1st or 2nd day driving... I am OCD with detailing my truck... so I am going with a oe style flare that will hopefully cover enough. I really don't care for fender flares but I want to protect my paint.

My vote too. The best way. Not sure of the width of the Pro Comps but I'm thinking you will have room. Not much though. I'm purely guessing now..........

I dialed up the preload on both front coilovers 2” and I got my rake and a MUCH better CV angle. I do rub a bit more often now though. I plan to remedy that with a saw pretty soon

I think either of these would work. I’m afraid pro comps are too wide for my bumper

Lund fender flares. 4.5" up, 2" out. You can find them online for about 265. Shipping is extra.

I know this is old thread but since I'm here... here is my 2 cents: it's better to have flares than no flares. Any flares. I got painted fender flares with fake bolts on them. I think they look fine, cost me $250 painted ( by myself). Not too bad

What did you paint it with? Did they come prepared and you just primed and painted then clear coated? How was install too? I see some reviews showing the holes don't line up well and may have to drill them out. I just put lift and bigger tires on with more offset than I originally wanted, so I'm considering flares now. Thanks in advance.

They came prepared for primer, I used 2 parts epoxy primer and then 2 coats of paint and clear coat
Holes line up just fine, you just gotta make sure not tighten any bolts up till all of them are in place. Yes, you have to push it pretty hard and wiggle a little but it fits just fine, no issues.
About 2 to 3 hours installing it ( including fake bolts etc)

From all these pictures, I miss being able to park in the garage. I told my wife I needed to make the laundry room behind the garage narrower. She didn’t go for that idea.

Yeah, I gave up my office room for play/storage room in order to get my garage back after my wife stored some stuff ''overnight'' in my garage. Girls...

Purchased Bushwacker 30918-02 Fender Flares. Had them shop painted flat black because I was told that they eventually fade in the sun if not painted. Installed them and hated the look. Removed them. Need good offset wheels and far bigger tires to make them look good in my humble opinion. I have concrete gray 2020 Tundra with 3/1 level kit, 20” factory black wheels, and 275/55r20 Goodyear Wrangler tires. Might put flares back on if I go with 18x9 Fuel Assault wheels with 33-35” tires. Blackout bumper covers going on tomorrow to get rid of chrome.
