    Lost track after #1.
I'm not sure what you're trying to explain here, but there's a little plastic piece that goes over the pins that has to come out of the connector. Then you can slip in a depinning tool in the tiny tab on the underside of each pin slot on the connector to pull the pin out.

^ Yes like he said, the white connector have some plastic clips under metal pin, you have to separate the plastic clip from pin to release the pin don’t insert the thumbtack or tool in the metal pin.

Try to push the plastic clip with thumbtack or the tool you are using to the outer side

    Yes I’m the right side

But first of all you have to lift the lock tab in this picture

Insert a small screw driver on each side to lift this up

The only problem is...the wire that needs to be de-pinned to do the amber delete is a GRAY wire! That wire that you pulled apart, apparently leaving raw strands exposed, appears to have purple color insulation. You sure you were working with the right connector shown in @iHacker amber delete instructions and video?

This photo is showing the cavity where the GRAY was installed BEFORE de-pinning. Note that the white wire on one side has a black stripe, and the wire on the other side is light green.

If you're using a thumb tack, you need place the tack against the outside wall of the hole, and then when you feel the point hit resistance (B), pry the point gently toward to the other side (pry thumb tack point up in photo B) to lift the locking tang (blue) before tugging the wire. See the attached pics from @iHacker thread.

True, fifth one in...just be sure you started counting from the correct side.

You probably would not need to pry up if you were using the tool. When using the thumb tack, the sharp point is going the embed in the tang and there is nothing raising the tang, and you will continue to push harder and harder with nothing happening...UNLESS you pry the point (and the tang) up gently.

Quite possible. If they sell any depin tool it'll probably work. Note that the illustration shows an angle on the end of the tool. if you have the tool turned properly, the tang tends to slide up that angle when you push the tool harder. With a thumb tack, the tang probably isn't going to move unless you gently pry it up.

Well, it's still holding that wire stub tenaciously, so you should be fine.

I've seen where the right size paperclip works better than a pin. What are you using?
