I’ve done some searching and reading on Entune and GPS. Just wondering what the latest version of each is and the best way to update on my 2018 with Entune and navigation on my truck?

    Thanks

According to what the product specialist just told me the current version is 18.1 which was available Jan. 2019. If that is the case the database was compiled in 2018 and made available Jan. 2019 which means my data base is 2 years old. He told me you have to pay for an updated database. I did not ask the price.

Just bought a used 2017. The software has never been updated. The link says there is an update available. Folks recommend updating? Everything is currently working so I'm leary.

I’ve done 2 updates with no issues.

I still use a garmin gps that gives free updates. In a few years the truck gps will be pretty outdated. They should provide free updates.

What a great idea! I won't bet on this. Our last Nissan dealer wanted $300 for our 2010 crazy outdated murano.

The Entune software updates are OTA. If you're wanting to update your GPS database, you can pick up a newer year card on eBay. It's a micro SD card and you just pull the old one out and pop the new one in. I did it on my 16 Tacoma with an 18 card. I think it took around 30 min to install FYI.
