I have owned many and currently own two other Toyota’s with the JBL premium system, a Platinum Sequoia and a Trail Teams FJ. My 2019 Platinum Tundra was a serious disappointment to say the least when compared to the others. I purchased this truck as an office vehicle that will not get many miles but when I do drive it I want to enjoy it. I started with checking the many systems on here to get some ideals but went a little different from the norm. I’m happy with the factory head unit and it’s looks and features, so I kept it. I added the Rockford DSR-1 with the Maestro harness. I like loud, clean sound with mostly 80’s hair bands, thumping kick drum and an occasional old school boom. I ordered a (I’ve built hundred, if not thousands of boxes) Q Power ported box for 10’s because I just don’t have time to build one for it. I used Kicker higher end pieces for the entire build. I went with Kicker CompRT 10” subs for the box powered with 1600 watts from a Kicker KXA16001 amp. The front doors were upgraded with Metra adapters to change the 6x9 to a Kicker 44KSS6704, 6.75” and 1” tweeter component set powered with 400 watts from a Kicker 44KXA4002 amp. The rear doors were upgraded with Metra adapters to a Kicker 44KSS6504, 6.5’ component set but I had to change to a Kicker 3/4” tweeter to fit the factory locations, powered by a second 400 watt Kicker 44KXA4002 amplifier. The dash speakers were upgraded to Kicker KSC350, 3.5” with 200 watts powered from a Kicker 44KXA4004 4 channel amp, the additional two channels of this amp will (not finished yet) be bridged to push 200 watts to a Kicker 43CWRT672, 6.75” sub under the driver seat. I used a 300 amp ANL fuse going through 1/0 gauge power cable to the back seat where it splits 4 ways, via 4ga to the 4 amplifiers. I have a a DB Link, LCAP8KF, 8 farad capacitor still to add as well.
Ok, the system absolutely ROCKS! I have not tuned the DSR-1 in yet. The volume is and quality is much better than expected.
I will get some pictures soon, I know threads like this suck without them.
    2,800 watts.

Did you run new wires to every speaker or tie them into the factory harness under the seat where the OEM JBL amp is?
If you used the stock wiring did you buy a harness to plug to the JBL output side or did you just cut it and find the speaker wires in the bundle?
I'm doing the same thing but dont wanna run all new wires, but also dont want to cut my harness. I found one guy who makes harnesses but he wants like $40 for it.
    Thanks

I ran all new wires, for tweeters and midranges. I left all factory wiring intact because this truck will not be a permanent vehicle and I can return all OEM speakers. The running of new wires was time consuming, it took a couple weekends off and on but the truck sat in my shop taken apart. The only thing under the passenger is the DSR-1 where I removed the factory amp. I ran four sets of RCA cables under the carpet to the backseat where all the amplifiers area long with the passive crossovers for the component sets are.
I seem to be having issues getting pictures on here.

    2020 Tundra Limited Crewmax 4x4
Hi everyone I have a question and it might be a noob one but here it goes. I have a 2020 limited crew cab with jbl premium. I’ve upgraded the sub to the JL Audio stealth box with 2-10 inch woofers behind the seat with a one channel 1,000 watt jl amp. I also have a lc2 processor for the woofer. I would like to upgrade door speakers and was wondering if I can just get a wiring adapter and just plug them into the factory jbl amp that came with the truck. I’ve been reading a lot on the forums but I don’t know anything about wiringstereos or anything with car audio. Anyinformation would help. Thanks inadvance
