Because in my experience, the people who work in those chain parts stores don't know shit. All they know is what they pull up on their terminal and I bet when you pull up wheels for a Tundra, only 18" and 20" are shown.

I went to the 4wheelparts they just opened in Cincy. I was checking out their price on Bilstein 6112's and the sales dude told me they weren't height adjustable o_O

Of course 17” Icon Rebounds fit! Below are pics of them on my 2015.

Appreciate the replies guys!!! I knew they would fit as they are made for the Tundra's.

4Wheelparts needs to educate their people a little more or they should call Icon before calling me and telling me they will not fit. Seems like they are almost trying to push other wheels.

You hit the nail on the head, look at the price of the ICON's compared to most others, can't blame them, they get paid on either GP or gross sales. Pay plans drive behavior.... Simple business

Would take the dude 5 mins to check fitment with a lift and power tools.

Probably the same type of guy that works at Auto Zone and asks if your truck is 4wd or 2wd when he's looking up a blinker bulb for you.

Sorry Happy, for you, the Labor rate is
    $120 per hour
$150 per hour if you watch
$180 per hour if you help
People who say "it would take 5 minutes" rarely can do it themselves, they sure as hell don't know how techs get paid

Just sayin, he's gonna potentially lose an entire job by not placing the truck on a lift, removing 5 lugs, and sliding a rim over the lugs to check fitment. If it fits, he's already started the job he was hired to do. If not, guess he lost out on some time (money).

But he works for the McDonald's of offroad shops so I'm sure he doesn't care.

Make whatever assumptions you want about my technical knowledge, it was an exaggeration of how simple it would be to keep the customer. I wrench on all my own cars.

    Awesome wheels and awesome tires.

How wide are the TRD Rock Warriors? Do you know how large of a tire size you can go with those before you start to get rubbing?

The wheels are 8" wide. They're also +50 offset instead of the +60 I said earlier. Typo on my part there. I've seen posts saying they've 315/70R17 tires on but I imagine that's with a little plastic trimming and removing the mud flaps.

20181207_172918.jpg Icons w 285/75/17s and 5100s in the middle setting. Careful when they're balanced. Sitting at the dealership now for the second time today getting the weights moved so they dont rub.

It's not even worth the free service to deal with the dealership...fml

This is what u should tell them. Great info from a vendor here. I told my shop this with a pic before they just mounted and balanced my new combo and zero issues. Hope this helps.

Just fyi my setup is very similar to the icons as far as caliper clearance on the methods.

If you are balancing dynamic they need to be on the inner most part of the lip and the outer most part against the inside of the spokes. If static, you can not place the weights in the middle, they need to go on the inner most portion of the wheel.

17” Rebounds, plenty of room for weights. The shop had no issues balancing. This pic is taken from spoke side.

You're welcome. I think more of the problem is there's such minimal clearance between the bottom of the front caliper and the inside of the wheel on both 17 inch icons and methods. But if u go to a decent shop that know what they doing and just make them aware of the possible issue they can easily overcome. My shop had no problem bc I made them aware before. Plus they good.

I ran Cooper AT3w..they, at least my set, seemed to run VERY small to their posted specs for diameter. Even did the whole circumference and pie nonsense to make sure I wasn't crazy.

With that said, they were a great tire. Just a few things kept me from going back to the AT3 main reason they aren't a 3ply sidewall.

Been very happy with my Cooper ST Maxxs.

Even got the inside of the cab and bed all cleaned up looking purdy too today. My OCD kicked in after having parts everywhere both in the cab, in the bed, and on the cover.

    So basically an oversize 34?

As I browse through the different 35" tire sizes, I notice that most of them require wheel rim widths larger than 8" (at least for 17" wheels). So I guess the OEM 17" TRD Rock Warriors prohibit going any bigger than 34's due to rim width? Or has someone here been able to fit true 35's on those wheels?

Just trying to help. Not speaking from experience, but many guys run 35s on both 8.5s and even 8 widths. I know your getting it from the manufacturer and what they say would be ideal. However guys do it all the time and go against that. Matter of fact some internationally do it, it's called a poor man's beadlock because it actually holds the rim better with a larger tire on a smaller wheel. I have 35s on a 8.5, but I know for sure others run them on 8s without issue. Dont take my word for it though, best bet is to find someone who does. There's guys out there for sure, I know forum members here that do. Good luck, hope this helps at least a little.
