I’m looking for something similar to the 8 switch spod but don’t want to spend 800 on it. I know Cali raised had 1 but I guess they discountinued it as they werent happy with it from what the rep said on the phone. Has any1 seen another brand by any chance? Reason I want the flat switch is that i want to put it on the sunglass holder. My truck is a 6 seater so I don’t have the center console or room to mount a ton of switches. Picture is just for sample of the style I’m looking for.

In my opinion I think cali raised probably stopped their panel because it was too similar to the switch pro, and they might have had an issue that way.

I'm very happy with my switchpro

Tony, I'm in the same boat with the 6-seater and am looking at a switch pro too. Lemme know what you come up with. The sunglass holder might be a good bet if you rotate 90 deg and get different decals or else you'll be doing an awkward head tilt every time you go to use the switch.

Just did my system so switching head units is a no go at this point. I actually almost went with the alpine halo but didn’t like the fact that everything needed a module wich was a big money pit. Lol

Reading up on the switch pro and I guess it has an actual app that we can use to control the switches so that’s making things better. I’ll let you know if I find something or some kind of deal on them.

@sdde4n looking at good ol autoanything website I see a pro comp ss6 light controler for 250. It’s only 6 switches instead of 8 but I wonder what our budy @eccracer104 can hook up us with.

Highly unlikely you will find any deal on them because they have a very strict map policy.... And there's already been a few vendors on here I believe that have no longer stock the switch pro because of them violating that policy

I run a 4200 Mini setup, limited to 6 slots but has momentary options, on/off, and top 2 can be a wig-wag. I went this route cause its $100 vs 5-800.. yes I dont get the dimability, or the cool strobe etc and bluetooth options but I reality its a simple ON/off panel.

I was going to mention the 4200 mini as well. I might go that route or just do custom “Toyota style” switches in my blanks. I like the 4200 for just the reasons you said. It’s cheap and gives a good control interface. It is just a “trigger panel” still need to wire up to fuses/relays but still MUCH cheaper than a sPOD

Only if the aux needs it. Thats the only issue is that its limited to 3amp each haha but most everything im running has inline fuse/relay thankfully.

The panel is actually on Cali Raised partner company website.

    https://apexfabworks.com/collections/2nd-gen-tundra/products/8-switch-panel-power-system

I’ve had one for almost 6 months now without any issues and I’m happy. I do wish it had the ability to strobe lights for emergency.

Check out my post #89 of my current set up.

+1 on switchpros. small family owned business. the owners usually answer the phone when you call. their customer service is excellent. i've had a few calls with them and the amount of time they spent with me debugging things that probably weren't even related to the unit was extensive. it's worth the money for that alone.

I've actually been looking at that one. There's not enough margin in it to discount yet, but it seems like a viable choice. I don't see it being any better than the ~$100 units on Amazon though, so may not actually be worth it. It requires some more research first :typing:

Thanks for the link. The rep on the phone didn’t seem to confident about the product tho so kinda feel hesitant for that product.

Just out of curiosity, where were the grounds originally and where did you end out moving them? Don't want to make the same mistake when I do my accessories and wire management.

i had them on the factory ground point against the fender, the one right by the battery. all the grounds (switchpros and lights) are now on the neg terminal of the battery. switchpros actually points that out in their install guide and for whatever reason it didn't register with me.

Hey Tony, originally I went the faux pro route, the Mictuning pictured below. The issue I had was all the the lights flashed on every time I started the truck. So, I put the switches on a switch. Then it only flashed when I turned the switch controller on. It's sitting on a bench in the shop and you can have it if want it.

Thanks Warren, seems like a lot of reviews are saying the same. I’ll have to pass as I’m already nervous about wiring things. Lights flashing at me would drive me nuts and make me even more nervous. Lol

With any of these switches you still have to add either a fuse block or inline fuses for everything that gets wired in correct? @14burrito mind sharing some pictures of ur set up? @smslavin care to show us some pictures of ur set up please?

this is where i have the switch panel.

the 'brain' is currently mounted to the fuse box cover under the hood. it will be moving when i get the dual battery tray mounted.

hots from the accessories go to the switchpros brain. grounds are on the neg terminal of the battery.

With the SP you do not need the fuse block or relays but you do need to be sure not to pull too many amps through each switch. There is no support, that I could fiind, for the Mictuning product nor values for internal relays so I had the fuse Blue Sea block and several relays.
