I did mine today. 2010 RW and 106,000 miles young. She has spent much of her life towing my boat on weekends, hauling our quads, everything but daily driving.
I pulled the trans cooler line, and refilled one gallon at a time, 3 gallons total. I used Valvoline MaxLife Synthetic ATF, and the trans has never felt this smooth. She was starting to shift a little hard from 1st to 2nd. Since the change, it feels 100% better. I'll keep ya'll updated.
The PS was the same, drained all the black fluid out from the return line, exchanged with more Valvoline MaxLife ATF, used about a quart maybe a little more. The steering feels smooth and easy, so much smoother all over. Again, I'll post update as the miles count.
So stoked, feels like a new truck again.

Well transmission fluid Type IV and WS
Is not back compatible. They have completely different additives. But this genius people somehow made this red piss and call it Transmission Fluid. And marked It that it good for Type IV and WS transmission. I would never trust this "Liquid"

You do you brother! Here we are, 2 years and thousands of miles later, and she's still running strong. I'm on 37's and stock gearing, beating the shit out of her... towing my 22' boat just about every weekend in the summer 50+ miles each way to the bay. Not so much as a hiccup! Valvoline clearly states that its MaxLife fluid is a suitable replacement for WS Fluid. Its been working out very well for me.

    Billstein 6112/5160's, coachbuilder spacer on driver side/ 20" rockstar wheels/ 33" nitto ridge grappers/SS Brake lines (or as most people write Break), Painted Calipers/Powercoated Tow hooks/pocket flairs/heated seats,bed leds/line-x liner/xtang trifold/tow mirrors/Stereo Work/Compustar Remote Starter/ retrofit Morimoto Minin H1 and switch back LEDs/ plenty I'm forgetting
    Just my 2 cents.
I also did my fluid change 50k miles ago with maxlife valvoline in 2014?
    No issues.

But, definitely use whatever makes you feel good.

33's and only towing was yard trailer to dump and snowmobiles for a few years in the winter.
