Not enough data to prove that!

If these were installed on every vehicle, maybe we could stop a lot of senseless deaths. Or is it against our constitutional rights to be stupid and irresponsible!

Ignition interlock devices are just as bad as texting and driving. I know a few people who have gotten DUIs, and they say the devices in their vehicles require them to blow into the damn thing every 20 minutes or so! So, they have to take their eyes off the road and blow into it. Yeah, that's real safe...

The system needs to be one time only shot at which time it disables the vehicle for 4 hours? It cannot be retried until after the time has passed.

Having them set for twenty minutes is pointless.

Ran into that on the road last week, driver came to a complete stop on the onramp looking in the mirror to see if the coast is clear. 80+mph traffic and a half mile merge lane and this clown is at a dead stop.
Course the Tundra had no problem getting up to speed from a dead stop...:burnrubber:

people who go on vacation and leave their damn brains at home. yes I live in a beach town and the tards that come here and leave their common sense at home is amazing. Georgia, you are the worst offenders then comes Kentucky and OOOOOOOhio for your top three.

and the snowbirds (mostly Canadians) who get in the freaking left lane diving 20 below the speed limit. they have to make a left hand turn 5 miles down the road so they have to be prepared.

The problem is, you can't scare them. They are right, you are wrong and that's all there is to it. Yes, I do daydream about getting up behind them. Getting them loose and putting them in the wall. But my boss is the same size as me and frankly getting in a fight with him over some stupid beemer driver just ain't worth both of us going to the er......:smack:

Driving in Chicago I can appreciate all these posts, also agreeing with left hand cruisers being the most aggravating. People coming off an exit shooting all the way over to left lane and going same speed as person next to them. That’s why one of my favorite things on my truck is the asshole headlight adjustment ! Works every time I get cut off!

Wondering if anyone else does this. Always keep your headlight setting, the one on the lower left, at zero. When an asshat cuts you off move that fucker to 5 and move slightly left. When it hits his car door mirror it becomes daylight inside that car! Usually no more than a minute and they’re out of the way. Very powerful tool, I recommend not using it unless absolutely necessary!!

:mad:And to just be clear, I do not do this in rush hour, unless that bastard just rode down the shoulder half a mile past the merge lane and cut in front of me in the right lane because I have half a car length for him to push in, then he gets the 5. Unfortunately this is the norm in Chicago traffic

The drivers who drive like Ricky Bobby until he sees a cop them throws out the anchor to five under the limit slowing up all traffic... (Trust me dude, if the officer was going to pull you over, he had your speed with the lidar 200 feet ago). Maintain your speed before you cause a crash.

People who honk behind you when the light has been green for 1/1000 of a second. :annoyed:

As far as OVI check-points go, I believe they have to be advertised, marked by signs well before, so people can actually avoid them. If these things weren't done, then all the "constitutionalists folks" may have a point. Otherwise, heck yeah drunk drivers should get hooked (doesn't mean they're a bad person, but they did make a poor life decision). :oldglory:

Lol. Turns out I am a sympathy breaker. I give a pretty huge following distance, but that because half the drivers on the road are idiots. And I will brake with cars way ahead of me to keep that distance.

When I am headed down 95 to get home I have to cross a huge bridge and on the down side traffic slows for no reason whatso-f%&king-ever that I can figure out except some people apparently have trouble coping with driving downhill. So they panic and jam on the brakes to prevent their cars from speeding out of control or something. Then everybody goes back up to normal speed when it flattens out.

    Not nearly enough room here!
You have to realize, there's a possibility of driver's needing to think, reason or have some semblance of ability, unless the road is perfectly flat and straight. Crossing, or entering onto a bridge is usually good for a 10-15 mph decrease in speed.

I like the ones who simply MUST pull out into the intersection when turning left. Most, if not every intersection will have one direction that has enough visibility to allow us to make sure that way is clear, THEN pull enough forward to check the other direction. These same geniuses will continue creeping forward, while someone is attempting to get around them, making a turn.o_O

The people usually get the courtesy coast. Just let off the gas and coast. Usually they get the hint. Or, if it's not windy, a well timed windshield cleaning does wonders too

I hate shopping center parking lots, and this is one of the reasons I cut across the parking spaces instead of driving closer to the shops where all of the stop signs and crosswalks are located...

I drove to PetSmart to get some stuff for my fish tank, and when leaving the shopping center while PetSmart is located, I encountered an asshole in a blue 2008-2010ish Toyota Corolla. This guy was sitting at a crosswalk, but there was nobody crossing. I beeped the horn, and he gave me a "WTF?" gesture. At this point, everybody and their mother started leaving the store, and this dickhead started waving everybody across. He had to force people to cross who weren't read to do so, all in the name of getting revenge on me for beeping at him. So, all the people cross and he gets going, albeit very slowly. He turned on his right signal and and moseyed through a right turn. I eventually got pissed off and drove around him, which prompted him to beep at me.

So that makes two things I hate...

Parking lots, and people who decide to teach other motorists a lesson...

My wife makes fun of me for backing into parking spots in busy lots. I keep having to explain to her that it's from too many times backing out of spots only to have pedestrians walk behind me or cars fly around the corner and speed past me, repeatedly forcing me to stop.

Yes, I know pedestrians and vehicles driving through the lot have right of way to cars backing out. At the same time if someone is half way out of the spot when you approach you can stop and give them another few seconds to get out rather than just stroll or zoom behind them and make them stomp on the brakes.
