    This is Toyota in general.
Example there is a used 2016 Tundra with 45,000 miles which is out of warranty for sale at a dealer. It is not certified pre owned.
I'm hearing conflicting stories about being able to purchase the extended warranty at time of purchase to get coverage.

Anyone have any info on this?

My sister is looking for a used one but doesn't want to spend that kind of money on a truck without a warranty.

Weird, my local Toyota dealership would do a 100K mile warranty for 2700.00, and that would have started at 100k miles and go to 200K due to my CPO warranty.

It was drivetrain only, but yeah, I get that for sure. Regional I'm sure.

@Azblue I appreciate it. Looks like it can be done. Now I just wonder how much they are going $$$ charge for it.

If that's on the lot at a Toyota dealership, I think I would question why they didn't certify it. Must have failed something in their 160 point inspection maybe?

I think it costs them money to certify it. The salesman mentioned it could br certified but we would have to pay for it.
Only in NY would the do this crap

I would contact Jennifer Taylor at wolverine toyota. She can verify by vin#. I am somewhat certain for the platinum warranty....it has to be less than 3yrs/36k miles. But not 100% certain. If you can get it...she has the best prices on Toyota warranties.

When I got my 2012 last year it had 54000 on it. It was certified and the extended warranty was around $3000. I said no and they came back with employee pricing of $1900. So I got a total of 7 years.
