Wonder how the performance of the magnuson compares to TRDs?

 

Yep this ^^ Magnuson did a little more aggressive tune to pull out 550hp and 550tq at the crank. The truck will go on the Chassis dyno after the install so I'll have some solid RWHP numbers on 35's

 

Perfect... why didn't you install it the day you opened the box???????

I has to be done at a authorized installer to get the Magnuson warranty.

 

Holy snap, that is going to be amazing. So they finally figured out the 16+ tune? Next time I make it up to your shop I want a ride.

 

Nope they haven't completed it but I'm on one of the early adaptors on the 2016.

 

Ive been watching this Thead on TundraTalk very closely! Once I get my rear end setup done all I'm saving for is the magnuson

How is it and how much psi is it pushing out? Must sound lovely with the Trd dual exhaust!!
Plan to mate it with a bammuffler in the future?

No boost gauge so I'm not sure 7 to 8psi and nope the TRD exhaust sounds awesome it's staying on.

I'm thinking is will sound even better with the high flow intake. I have the stock one on now as its better with the unichip. As soon as Magnuson sends me the tune I'll put on thier intake.

 

Do you know if Magnuson will sell the high-flow intake separately? I have the TRD supercharger but it uses the stock intake/pipe.

 

I have no clue most likely not as you might need a whole different tune with it.

 

So one week update after the super charger install. The truck is a beast! I've been driving hard like anyone with a new Super charger my mpgs went from 10.9 to 14.6 on the Hud still on my first tank so no manual calculations yet I thought it would be less for the first few tanks with the heavy foot and all.

The SPG has gotten very high as well!

Well I finally set up QI wireless charging in the console.

Pretty simple install I just ripped apart the Samsung wireless charger and JB welded it to the under side of the console where I set my phone every time I drive.

It works pretty good with the Note 5 as its just about a perfect fit in that spot. I wish the coil was larger just incase it moves a little it stops charging.

 

I towed a little trailer from Carson city to the bay today I was definitely loving that supercharger!

 

Supercharger envy! So cool!!!

 

I do have to make some changes to it as it disconnects when it moves around. I think itshe back a little too much. I'll document it when I rip it all apart again.

 

Very nice build! Good to see a local bay area fabricator in the Bay! I'll have to check out your shop one day when I'm in the area. I'm in the east/south bay for the most part.

Does the TRD rear sway bar make a huge difference in on road handling? I don't feel comfortable how the truck takes curves on the streets and I'm still on stock suspension!(non-TRD if it matters)

 

I think it's a huge improvement i catch myself taking turns fast enough to have the traction control kick on not even hitting the gas. The truck does not lean at all I'm also running KING's all the way around so the truck handles way better then stock from that alone.
