I took out my back seat this weekend to create more storage and found this, does anybody have any ideas on how I could cover it up?

Cut a piece of MDF to fit and cover it with matching gray carpet?

Big box for the carpet. I like the airdam idea.

Please do not put MDF in there as it will become a heavy projectile in an accident.

Not if he uses all those OEM screw positions along the top and bottom to mount it...

I would use something like this cut to fit wrapped in gray carpet and mounted to those holes top and bottom...

Yea I meant using existing hardware to anchor it.

Use a large piece of cardboard for a template. Get everything laid out and then transfer to the MDF.

Something like this under the carpet will make it easier to get the carpet tight.

20190318_194934.jpg I apologize for the cruddy picture, my battery is too low to use flash, but I used some heavy material from Walmart and attached it with adhesive Velcro and a few graumets. The bottom part is just some extra material laid over for my dog.

    It's a futon :D

I almost built a wall there in mine but changed plans. I had a 1/2" slice of MDF and planned to bend sheet metal tabs to replicate the top mount of the seat, then drill holes for the bottom bolts and back them with washers. Was gonna mount my amplifier to the inside and paint the whole sheet with bed liner. But then I saw a squirrel...

    Maybe a molle board???

Could get a relatively cheap one and cut it to fit that area and border it with some matte black aluminum?

Functional, convo piece and would look BA too!
