Installed my tow mirrors and VLEDS Universal Puddle Lights. They are tapped into the cargo light circuit. Wasn't easy but worth it! If anyone is interested, I can do a write-up.

Special Thanks to @YeeYeeTundra for selling me a great set of tow mirrors.

    Lost track after #1.
I'd be interested in a write-up. Wouldn't mind doing this and making them red.

Hell yeah I'd love to see that. I'm about to pull the trigger on some tow mirrors. Did you use the OEM mirrors or the trail ridge ones?

I bought a used set of Trail Ridge mirrors (no BSM). I've only had them on since yesterday, but they seem well built and had no issues driving around town.

I'm not sure, but I think my harness would still need to be wired since it didn't come with puddle lights from factory. Which means I would still need to run wires into the cab.

According to the thread you sent, PIN 5 & 6 would be for the puddle lights and I have no wires in either of those pins.

EDIT: Actually, I was looking at it upside down. The wiring is there...so it might be possible...

OK that makes sense. I should have looked at your pics more carefully. If it's not already wired then that's that. I thought they might have them all wired with everything, but that wouldn't really make economic sense. Really appreciate the tutorial you posted, i'm going to do this when I get tow mirrors. When you remove the mirror glass, you literally just pull it off? That's the part that frieks me out!

Yes, the 1A Auto Trail Ridge tow mirrors are held in by tabs. You just pull and it comes out. I think it comes off differently for OEM tow mirrors.

I actually didn't look closely enough and was looking at the pin locations upside down. There are wires running into PIN 5 & 6, so it might be entirely possible to tap into these. It's above my pay grade. This was my first time doing any kind of wiring in a vehicle.

Interesting, would be easier just to tap those wires. Someone will have to confirm if there is power to them. Sometimes the wires are there but they dead end, I added sport mirrors to my TRD off-road Tacoma and the plug had the wires for the turn signals but no signal going to them, this could be the same.

Yeah something isn't right tho. Upside down or not that pin out description doesn't jive. It must be a little variable depending on year.
