100k+ used tundra advice

I'm looking into buying a new tundra, pro or 1794, and have been looking at some with just over 100,000 miles.

I know Toyota's last a long time but does anyone have any advice if it's not smart it is to buy one of these.

Looking at:
15 Trd pro with 120,000 miles - $27000
16 tundra 1794 with 105000 miles - $28000

 

Either would be totally fine if the truck was properly maintained

Make sure to check the values on NADA and or Kelly Blue Book. And get a CarFax report.

FYI, Purchased 2007 with 130K miles and it still runs & drives great.

 

Biggest benefit on the Pro in my opinion is the shocks. The stock Pro shocks aren't rebuildable but with that mileage, I'd want them to at least have been replaced. If you plan on modifying the suspension, I'd go with the 1794.

 

So I'm hearing either would be fine as long as they were taken care of. And Pro might be a bad option because the shocks would be shot.

Is there anyone on here who has experience buying a 3rd gen with 100,000 plus mileage?

Are you stuck on a 3rd gen ? I bought my 08 with 53k miles 3 yrs ago for $21k one owner truck.

 

I think so. Not a bad idea tho. More money to mod left over

 

Bought my 2008 with 97 K miles and it drive just like the new one I test drove. 18 months latter and some mods. Very happy camper!

I bought my 2014 with 108k 2 years ago and couldn’t be happier with it. It has 128k now and hasn’t had a single issue.
