I know this is off topic but god damn I’m so proud of my hard working and dedicated wife. We do not come from money, have no family around but my wife has managed to match for her first choice in residency for internal medicine for UC Health Colorado! She started working behind a counter at 24hr fitness studying her ass off. I’m just so god damn proud of her! She starts this June:)

Well done ARES, you got a beautiful family and good job on staying married. It’s easy to quit when times are tough but we gota step up and keep doing what’s best for the ones we love.

I’ve got 10 years myself so I’m right there with you. Keep it up.

Super congratulations to your wife, Cole! She is so fortunate to work at UC Health. Colorado is blessed with some of the best hospitals in the country. I live near Aurora Medical Center and I can see from my backyard the new VA Hospital, Anchutz Children's Cancer Hospital, UC Hospital Complex. High 5!

Matched means my wife interviewed for a position as a resident Physician at a variety of hospitals to practice medicine as a MD. She received her first choice so our family does not have to move to another state:)

Congrats to both of you! I am a PGY-3 ER resident in Corpus Christi, TX. Residency will be the toughest time of your marriage. Remember to take time to maintain your relationship. IM will be hard, lots of long hours. Be kind when she comes home tired and cranky...she doesn’t mean it:)

Enjoy the next few months and have a lot of fun. Tell her not to stress about preparing, and for the love of God...DONT STUDY! Hopefully she has fluff rotations here at the end of her 4th yr.
