That grill does not look like MGM to me. Maybe you had a bad batch with that mix. MGM is tricky though. I had my Tacoma (silver) 2-toned with a MGM stripe at the bottom and all the bumpers, fender flares, step bars etc. also MGM. It looked good, but it was almost metallic black looking, especially when parked next to a MGM truck. Used the right paint code and good quality paint.

I’m thinking that instead of paying the $65 or more for a body shop to custom mix me a can of paint I’ll just stick with this 2tone look and match the bed to it like @Boerseun said... that way even though it doesn’t match the body it’ll look right... also contemplating doing the BHLM with it too... seems like having the almost black would still get the same effect and having a metallic in there would look sweet

“Unfortunately” not really... I’ve been so busy with work I haven’t had time to truely finish it. I’ve got the clamps on the boxes on and the mounts for the generator done but haven’t had the cash or time to do the suspension

Are you planning on a vertical front piece on the flat bed, a headache rack of sorts, or just leaving it a straight flat bed?

Making some progress on this finally and plan to have it wrapped up and painted this week.

@zcarpenter92: yes. It will have a tub that goes to full headach rack height with and cross piece just below the window and expanded metal from the windows down.

The one in that picture is a CM that the guy made fit his tundra. Just google tundra flatbed and you will see that picture and find his story.

Nice build so far! Im definitely going to be keeping an eye on this one.. I do mobile fabrication as well and would love to build a flat bed on mine one day.. id incorporate my decked system into it.. I don't know if I could live without my drawers from here on out! Ive had luck doing the leaf spring rebuild on my Tacoma as well but had a hard time finding a stock donor pack so Im having a spring shop re arch my factory leafs and use factory spec leaf flatbar to make custom aal's if you will. Snatching mine off tomorrow and should have them back on by Tuesday.. never done re arching before so I hope it goes as well as rebuilding too

OP hasn’t posted in over a year. I guess this one is dead. Too bad, I wanted to see the finished product.
