Thanks man. When I got it everybody either said "sell it" or "why?" It wasn't taken care of but I've got it reliable little by little.

Sorry for the crummy photo in advance. Purchased this 2013 Acura TL new before I got married. On the highway it gets 29 mpg and 21 in the city. Car is FWD, 3.5L V6 delivering 290hp. Paid cash for it, drives as smooth as the day I purchased it, 55,000 miles now, I think about selling it about once every few months. I alway convince myself to keep it, so as to save on fuel cost when compared to my truck. Tundra has 2,000 miles and prefer driving it but parking is always such a pain. Third world problems right! I love both vehicles for different reasons.

For sure keep it. Really nice car. And yes 3rd world country problem lol. My wife still thinks I'm a little crazy about my truck. She's is like it's not going to last forever. I said well at least I will try to keep it that long.

If I keep my foot out of it, the 2WD '07 gets a couple MPG more than the 4WD V8 '02.

I’m not showing you my 2004 Cavalier because it would hurt your eyes and make all children cry. But it has 186,000 miles, gets 32-34 mpg and cost only $600

This is why I only put 3,000 miles on my Tundra a year

I want a Prius too. How long have you had? Any big issues so far? $6K sounds like a decent price but not sure how much they cost. Can you get a car seat in the back?

I've been looking for a mid-generation model that has a bad/blown battery pack. About 2 - 3 hours and less than a grand and you can replace the batteries yourself...but I haven't come across any or they want too much even with a bad battery pack.

Here she is, Ruby. 2007 Toyota Matrix. Approaching 180k. Been payed off for a long time.
    $220/year for full coverage.
    $58/year in registration and tax.
    33 MPG.
My commute is 40 miles roundtrip each day. It also gets driven on the weekends as well unless I need the truck bed.
Cost savings in fuel with the above costs taken into account and even going with a very liberal 16mpg average on the Tundra still nets me about $600/year. Unrealized savings are tire cost and oil change cost Matrix vs. Tundra.

I’m seeing the same issue in my area too, price is way too high, even if they have huge miles are battery issues, etc. I hear good things about the Prius in terms of holding up, etc but can’t pay ‘anything’ to get one

I thought about getting a Prius as a second car that’s better on gas(I’m not ashamed of the Prius). But then I can’t stand getting in and out of “cars” especially with a toddler, I’m happy driving my tundra everyday as I have the funds for gas and I’m not worried about MPG’s.I might buy an fj cruiser or an 08-15 landcruiser as a toy.

My wife has a 2019 Avalon that hardly even gets taken out of the garage. Occasionally I drive it just so it gets driven and to save some Tundra gas. It's a great car but I always find myself itching to get back in my Tundra.

I have had it for 5 weeks now. No issues. Plenty of room for a car seat.
Mine was a 2010 with 120k. One owner. Dealer maintained. Books at 7850, and I looked at many for that price. You can get into something worthwhile for as cheap as $3500 and if you want to spend 10 or 12k you can get alot newer and alot less miles. It's worth looking at the camry hybrid.

Denver Craigslist has just that for sale. Think it's a 08 for $600.

Had a ‘13 Camry hybrid until 18-wheeler rear ended me and totaled. It was a great car, and killer MPG in the city
