I'm thinking the TRD exhaust may be the best option, but I'm curious on other options. I have a 16' enclosed trailer that I tow not to often, but when I do its for long distances. In the times I'm not towing I'd like to here more V8 and don't want anything obnoxious.

No offense to anyone with the TRD exhaust. Everything is preference. But I personally can’t stand the sound of it. It sounds like the truck is missing. It needs an H pipe in my opinion. I’d say BAMuffler muffler 10 inch with resonator would be the least obnoxious. Especially for someone who tows quite a bit.

What @15whtrd said or stock. I had flowmaster dual in/dual out and it was horrible when towing. It was actually mild/deep when not towing, but when I was hooked up it was unbearable. I researched options for weeks in order to get a nice sound without having to deal with something obnoxious on a road trip.

I found an OEM take-off on Ebay and never looked back. My exhaust will now stay stock as long as I have a camper.

Stick with stock, unless you just have to have 'the sound of power' without much of a noticeable power gain.

^^^this is what you want and as @TXTundra2722 said its on super sale right now! i just put the stainless 8" on and its awesome, quiet at idol but roars to life when you stomp the right petal but not like straight pipes, classy V8 style. You would certainly hear it towing, Keith @dirtydeeds will tell you 10" is the way to go if you dont want to hear it towing and i believe he will also tell you anything duel pipes will slightly hurt your power unless you go to long tube headers. check out the link above and call Keith, he will point you in the right direction for you.

    oh and nice truck...

I believe he also has a 12” single as well with the hemholtz resonator. I only want a tad more “throat” and am also worried when towing up my 6% grade so when I call Kieth at DirtyDeeds that is what I am going to ask him.

I personally love the TRD exhaust. It makes me happy every time I put my foot into it.

Most def a system from Keith at dirty deeds if you are towing and don’t want done. TRD drones on the highway not under load.

All the time!! I didn't notice any drone, all I notice is sweet, sexy V8 noise.
