Keep your toys safe!!!

At the end of a run through Ocotillo Wells in February the group noticed a cloud of smoke coming from the west. Here's what I ended up finding:

It looks like it was empty at least. That sucks. Anyone get injured?

 

Had one burn to the ground when I used to manage one of the state campgrounds. It was 2 weeks old. Fire.Marshall determined they put a sheet metal screw into the wiring for the AC when they were finishing the siding at the factory

 

Sad. Seems like every year a camper burns down out in the desert

 

Curious about the results for that. Did the manufacturer replace or what?

 

Never got the follow up, owners were from out of state and never updated us.

What a nightmare! I’m sure they had insurance with a rig like that. But they will probably still take a loss on whatever equipment they had inside. Too bad we don’t know the whole story.

 

It didn't look like it and the tow rig was driven away from the fire by one of the cops there (Ram 2500).

Yeah, I can't find any news stories that reported what happened.
