Okay so I have a question for you all. There is an unbelievably good deal for a '19 1794 TRD Off Road that has discounts down to $47,611. There is also apparently a $2,000 Toyota rebate which was not added, but is available.

    https://www.corwintoyotaofbellevue....a-Tundra-d7aa63850a0e0ae81514f34fedac7df6.htm

Does that I mean I can technically get the dealer already down to $45,611 on this 1794 4x4 and negotiate even further down to say $43k???

Another question, I read on a car buying video that it doesn't matter what time of the year, but if you buy one end of the month, all these special discounts and rebates are already there?

    Thanks for suggestions...

Smells funny to me... In Ohio they have 0% OR $2000. Run the calcs and see if the rebate is actually worth it. If it's too good to be true then usually....

My guess would be they are including the $2000 off in the price. I just went through this a few months ago and all the advertised prices included the $2k off in our market. If you wanted to finance they would probably bump the price up to $49,611.

I am pretty thrifty in car negotiations and when I bought my Platinum it took 6 months and several dealers for me to get in the $48k range on a Platinum. Talked to 4 dealers about a 1794 and $50,500 plus taxes was as low as they would go. I asked if they would do $49k and they said you need to hurry up and buy from whatever dealer you have that price at, haha!

Our car market seems to be a little hire in the Knoxville and surrounding areas though. Others on here have posted deals that no one in our market will even begin to sniff.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I would imagine that they might have it priced that low just due to the color. I do not see too many of those colors on the road. Family friend had a Tundra in that color and no dealer wanted it when he tried tracding it in. Took him 2 months to sell it on his own parked out front of his business and ad certifying on cartrader. Not being mean, but that is what I know.

Call them up and see what they say. Never hurts to try.

yeah, read the details word by word. (not trying to be a smarta$$, just pointing it out). I'm looking for a Platinum right now and trying to figure out best price also.
"Price is after all applicable Rebates, Customer must qualify, Price does not include Tax, Title, License, Registration and Doc Fees. See Dealer for Details. $2,000 - TMS Customer Cash - KC. Exp. 04/01/20"
TMS Customer cash means cash price with no financing. If pay cash they discount $2000 on the price otherwise its $2000 + the finance charges on the term. They still get the money out of you one way or another.

Typically, the price you see advertised already includes all possible rebates. You either get special financing or the rebate. Not both.

I dunno, small market and less desirable color -- could be just the right conditions for a good price. Give it a go.

Mine was a bit under 47 before TTL, no rebates since I took 0% financing. If that truck isn't accessorized, 45xxx before TTL might be possible if you take the rebate

43xxx and you're looking at 2wd limited premium I'd guess

Anyone on this forum has read this too many times from me ,
but I swear by the Fighting Chance reports https://www.fightingchance.com/
I paid about $50 for one (choose either 4x4 or 2WD for the make and model you want). The report lists what the dealer pays for every package/ option. Knowing this "actual" cost for "your" truck will help you figure out the lowest price you can offer that the dealer will consider. (Even if you offer the same as the report shows the dealer paid, they may accept because they get paid volume incentives per unit sold by Toyota.) If "your" truck has been sitting a few months, the dealership will be paying Toyota for it each month-- more incentive to move the truck, even at a "loss".

    Worked for me.

It’s certainly worth to try to negotiate it down , what do you have to lose? I think realistic you will be at 47k flat. I’m in the market myself but for a platinum and the platinum and 1794 is almost identical in price. I live in CA and had a quote for 48,800 and it’s 4x4 and everything with the exception of the off-road package. I’m planning on seeing if I can get it down to 46500 . The 48,800 is including the rebate . Someone mentioned it already but you have to pick one or another , they will not combine both unless they’re really desperate to sell. Hope that helps .

Ive always been willing to drive 6hrs to save $2-5k. Watch out for those final long yellow form "suprises" that are thrown in and very well hidden. ..dealer fees, processing fees, filing fees, clerk fees, Rip off GAP you can get cheaper from your own insurance, etc. ... Dealers are experts at making those "too good to be true" prices work to thier advantage.
The used Tundra market is full of deals BTW, they often sit on used lots for months.

Costco/AAA discount saved me a couple thousand, plus $500 military and another $500 promo. Truck was $43k and ended up at $43k after all tax/lic/etc.

Yep, gotta love those dealer add ons. When i bought mine they tried to add $600 at final signing. Heck they tried to add it on the pre sale contract I refused to pay it both times and was ready to walk. They took it off. When I bought daughters used Rav4 they tried to add $1600 for a bunch of crap. They whined that it was the only way they make money on a used vehicle. I looked at daughter and said I know you really like it but get ready to walk. They backed off and included extras at my offer price. I walked from one dealer over $1k when I bought Tundra and they never called me.

They tried on my last one with an undisclosed $599 Processing Fee....I askwd the Finance Lady what exactly that fee was as I had an agreed price. She said it was thw State and I started walking. She knew damned well and so did I it wasnt the damned state! Salesman chased me down outside and they all back pedaled on each others story and removed it. Id have left out of principle...but I reallllly liked the truck.

Agree with what others have posted above. That $2K is likely already accounted for by the dealers price. When I purchased my wife's Armada we ran into some of the games they play. Drove a little further to a dealer that had a larger selection on the lot and also advertised prices that were a bit below the other Nissan dealerships....catch was that they added ~$2200 in some dealer add on package which basically added tinted windows and door guards in the end about the same price as others, but that's how they get you in their door. :frusty:

It is a bunch of crap is what it is. In Texas the doc fee is capped at like $170 so they call it something else. When I talked to the first finance dude he said I got oil changes for 100,000 miles. I said fine but I do my own so take it off. Even if I did not do my own I am not going to get locked in to one dealer for maint.. Next fiancé dude (fist guy was off when I picked it up) added it back. I said what is this? He said oh we charge that to everybody. I said everybody does not include me. Hand me the keys to my trade and I am out of here. He took it off. Dealer where I bought my 32 Tacomas now has a $899 add on pkg. that includes nitrogen, door edge guards, and front window tint. When I bought the Tacomas they just added nitrogen for like $200. When they told me they could not remove it. I said fine leave it on but include it in my offer price.

OP if you search cars.com and see other truck's with the same spec you'll see the price is nothing new to be wow'ed about at the moment

    https://www.cars.com/for-sale/searc...TypId=28880&trId=54869&yrId=36362520&zc=44011

other dealerships are using the same sales price tack tactics to get buyers to their showroom so I"d definitely negotiate the price also if you look up platinum nationwide you'll see the price are still around 52K which tells me dealers are looking to dump the 1794's as the Brown Leather is an acquired taste and therefore not selling as expected.

    Good luck shopping

OP, I wouldn't get too excited over that price. I paid $45,500 before TTL for my 2018 Platinum. I took the rebate. Dealership was Irwin Toyota in Laconia NH. They were straight up honest with no typical numbers games or $800 pinstripe and paint sealcoat bull$hit.
