How do you paint your figurines? Air brush or just brush?

Both. I prime, pre-shade, and base coat with an airbrush. I'll do some more small airbrushing on a small model and more on vehicles. Then I go to a brush for details and smaller bits.

Nice, I'm trying to add to my star wars collection with models instead of toys. Not the best model maker in the world but I try.

    That's awesome man.

That plastic cement is the truth!

You ever look at the Fantasy Flight Star Wars Armada or X-Wing figures? They are already painted and assembled and it's a pretty neat game system. I know some guys that strip the models and repaint them, to their standards.

Used to build WWII airplanes and ships back in the day before it was cool to sniff glue, then I switched to hand modeling.

That's what I used to build too. Never even considered sniffing the glue. Then everything turned to snap together so I quit.
Does it count if you make your model from scratch?

Never knew they even switched to snap together which shows you how long its been since doing model building.

Had a few P-38’s, a Thunder Bolt, and a Coursair hanging from fish line on the ceiling. Built some Battleships and a Carrier. Found the ships were more difficult with all the small guns and the smaller scale size.

Snap together....lol I don't even look at a box if it's under age 14. I might drive myself crazy painting this thing. Prob have over 100 hrs in it so far. That's the thing about this hobby, ya have a certain way you want it to look. And I gave up on the lights and photo etched parts.

    Cat rebuild

The head is back from getting redone. Ready to press new cylinder sleeves in. Like I thought, the rings fell off the pistons like leaves in fall. Only one bearing had any marks on it. Not bad for over 800k+20190302_102914.jpg 20190302_103158.jpg 20190302_103241.jpg

I have to start writing the stuff down before I forget it.
My father in law absolutely butchers the English language, for instance....
"I was pulling out of McRonalds after getting an egg mcmuffler and almost got hit by a VFW.

He calls and said that the nursing home put an "injector " in ma's room. He ment humidifier.

A colostomy bag is actually a catheter

He had an anxiety attack yesterday having to have a cat scan done. So he said they are going to give me an "incentive" he ment sedative but I'll give him that one! :bananadead:
